Josh Seiter is an American television personality and Internet troll. He first rose to prominence as a contestant on the eleventh season of The Bachelorette . In 2024, Seiter garnered attention for a male-to-female gender transition, which he later revealed as a joke.
Josh Seiter was born on 14 August 1987 in Chicago, Illinois.[ citation needed ] From 2007 until 2009 he studied sociology and political science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and from 2010 until 2013 he studied criminal litigation at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. From 2007 until 2008 he worked as a firefighter in Urbana, Illinois. [1]
Seiter competed on the eleventh season of The Bachelorette. He ended up failing to secure a rose, and was eliminated in the first week of the competition.
In 2023, Seiter was reported dead. However, less than 24 hours later, a statement was released to his social media pages, claiming his account was hacked. [2]
In May 2024, Seiter came out as a trans woman, explaining in an interview with Page Six that he felt free to explore his gender identity following the passing of his father. Later that year, Seiter revealed that his gender transition was a hoax, telling comedian Alex Stein that he faked a gender transition to "expose how gullible and delusional the Left is." [2]
Seiter was romantically involved with RuPaul's Drag Race alum Monica Beverly Hillz, but they broke up three weeks after they started dating. [3] [2]
