The Saints Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is the oldest and largest public university in North Macedonia. It is named after the Byzantine Christian theologians and missionaries Cyril and Methodius. As of 2018–19 school year, a total of 25,220 students are enrolled at the university. Furthermore, the teaching and research staff number 2,390 people; this is further supported by over 300 members in the university's institutions.

The American University of Europe - FON is a private university with headquarters in Skopje, North Macedonia. It is the second private university established in North Macedonia after the liberalization of the High education law's in 2002. After its establishment great number of professors from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje transferred to the new university and contributed to building a better educational system in the Republic of Macedonia.
The Institute for Macedonian language "Krste Misirkov" is the regulatory body of the Macedonian language and is a part of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, North Macedonia. The institute was established in March 1953 in order to standardise the Macedonian language and to organise creative potentials in the sphere of Macedonian studies. It is also used to ensure professional training and improvement towards those teaching the language. It was then that the Act of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the then Socialist Republic of Macedonia for transforming the Department of the Macedonian Language and Literature at the Institute of Folklore into an autonomous Institute of the Macedonian Language was empowered. At first the Institute functioned as a component part of the Faculty of Philosophy, but soon it turned into a separate scholarly institution with independent financing.
Ljubomir Cuculovski is a Macedonian philosopher and professor in Skopje. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, with a thesis on The Sources of Bergson’s Theory of Knowledge. Then he received his master's title in sociological science in 1982, at the Institute for Sociological, Political and Juridical Research in Skopje, with a thesis on Religion and Morality. He received his PhD in philosophical sciences from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje in 1992, with a dissertation on Karl Marx: The Origin of Historical Materialism (1841–1849).

The Faculty of Agricultural Science and Food in Skopje is a part of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. The faculty is located in the eastern part of the city Skopje on campus with other departments of biolocical and biotechnological science:Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Institute, Institute of Agriculture and Faculty of Forestry. Campus is 2 km away from the Rector of SS. Cyril and Methodius, and within the campus is located dormitory Stiv Naumov ". The faculty is equipped with a net usable building area of 7465m2, which houses six amphitheaters, 26 lecture, 28 laboratories, 143 offices, library and reading room with an area of 270 m2 and a student café with an area of 180m2. The Dean from 2009 is Prof.Dr. Dragi Dimitrievski Ph.D.
Teuta Arifi is a Macedonian politician of Albanian origin. In April 2013 Teuta Arifi was elected the Mayor of Municipality of Tetovo. Previous to her run for local elections, Teuta Arifi served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in charge of European Affairs. Arifi was the first Albanian woman to be elected in the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia in 2002. She was subsequently re-elected as Member of Parliament in 2006, 2008, and 2011. She also holds the position of Vice-President of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), key political party of the Albanians in North Macedonia. She speaks Albanian, Macedonian, English, French, Italian and Turkish.
Timčo Mucunski is the mayor of the Aerodrom Municipality and a university professor, who currently serves as vice-president of the political party VMRO-DPMNE. He served as Deputy Minister of Information Society and Public Administration in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia between 2015 and 2017, and as a Member of Parliament between 2020 and 2021.

Studia mythologica Slavica is a Slovene academic journal dedicated to ethnology, history, archaeology, linguistics, religious studies, literary history and philosophy in the context of Slavic mythology. Published since 1998 by the Institute of Slovenian Ethnology and the University of Udine. The journal is a annual published in print and online. Articles are published in all Slavic languages, in English, German and Italian. The main goal of the journal is to present comparative research that presents Slavic culture in the broader context of European and non-European cultures. The journal also encourages the study of contemporary phenomena of spiritual, social and material culture and their transformations.
The Macedonian Journal of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is a peer-reviewed scientific journal of chemistry established in 1974 by the Society of Chemists and Technologists of Macedonia. Since 2022 it is co-published with the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. It consists of two parts: The first, larger part contains peer-reviewed scientific articles from the various fields of chemistry and chemical engineering, written in English and accompanied by abstracts in Macedonian. The second part, written in Macedonian or in English, contains society and related news.
