Joy Irwin is a South African former cricketer who played as a batter. She appeared in three Test matches for South Africa in 1960 and 1961,all against England,scoring 40 runs in her six innings. She played domestic cricket for Durban and Natal. [1] [2]
Irwin,a record-breaking opening batsman for Natal, [3] was selected to play for South Africa women against the touring English women in 1960–61. In the first tour match,playing for South African XI Women,Irwin scored 5 &34 opening alongside Barbara Cairncross as the South African team forced a draw after following on. [4]
Graeme Craig Smith is a South African cricket commentator and former cricketer who played for South Africa in all formats. In 2003,he was appointed captain of the national team,taking over from Shaun Pollock. He held the position of test captain until his retirement in 2014. At 22,he was appointed as South Africa's youngest ever captain. He was the most capped captain ever when he played his 102nd test against England. He is considered as one of the greatest ever test captains of all-time having led South Africa to a record 54 test victories and under his captaincy South Africa was often highlighted as the best travelling team in the world.
Barry Anderson Richards is a former South African first-class cricketer. A right-handed "talent of such enormous stature",Richards is considered one of South Africa's most successful batsmen. He was able to play only four Test matches –all against Australia –before South Africa's exclusion from the international scene in 1970. In that brief career,against a competitive Australian attack,Richards scored 508 runs at the high average of 72.57. Richards' contribution in that series was instrumental in the 4–0 win that South Africa inflicted on the side,captained by Bill Lawry. His first century,140,was scored in conjunction with Graeme Pollock's 274 in a famous 103-run partnership. Mike Procter,whose South African and English career roughly paralleled that of Richards,was prominent in that series as a bowler.

She did not appear in the last two Tests of the series,and was not to play for South Africa again. She played domestic cricket for Natal.
