Judith Anne LaRocque, CVO ,(died 29 December 2021) was a senior Canadian civil servant. Most notably,she served as Secretary to the Governor General of Canada and Herald Chancellor of Canada from 1990 until 2000. Since 2010,she has been Canada's Ambassador and Permanent Representative at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris. [1] She died on December 29,2021.
LaRocque received an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Carleton University in 1979. She received a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from the same university in 1992.
In 1979,LaRocque began her career as an Administrative Assistant with the Public Service Commission of Canada. Shortly afterwards,she became a Writer and Researcher at the Prime Minister's Office. From 1980 until 1982,she was a Special Assistant at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition.
In 1982,she became a Procedural Officer and Committee Clerk at the House of Commons,a position she held until 1984. From 1984 until 1985,she served as Legislative Assistant to the Government House Leader. She then dealt with House Affairs at the Office of the President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada until 1986.
From 1986 until 1989,she served as the Executive Assistant to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General for Canada. In 1989,she became Chief of Staff to the Leader of the Government in the Senate and Minister of State for Federal-Provincial Relations,a position she held until her appointment as Secretary to the Governor General of Canada and Herald Chancellor of Canada in 1990.
Upon the completion of her term as Secretary to the Governor General in 2000,LaRocque was appointed Associate Deputy Minister at the Department of Canadian Heritage. She was promoted to the position of Deputy Minister at the Department in 2002,a position she held until her diplomatic appointment to the OECD in 2010.
A prime minister or chief of cabinet is the head of the cabinet and the leader of the ministers in the executive branch of government,often in a parliamentary or semi-presidential system. An Inuk leader from Nunavik in Quebec,Simon is the first Indigenous person to hold the office.
The United States order of precedence is an advisory document maintained by the Ceremonials Division of the Office of the Chief of Protocol of the United States which lists the ceremonial order,or relative preeminence,for domestic and foreign government officials at diplomatic,ceremonial,and social events within the United States and abroad. The list is used to mitigate miscommunication and embarrassment in diplomacy,and offer a distinct and concrete spectrum of preeminence for ceremonies. Often the document is used to advise diplomatic and ceremonial event planners on seating charts and order of introduction. Former presidents,vice presidents,first ladies,second ladies,and secretaries of state and retired Supreme Court justices are also included in the list.

The Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner of Canada is an entity of the Parliament of Canada. The commissioner is an independent officer of Parliament,who administers the Conflict of Interest Act and the Conflict of Interest Code for Members of the House of Commons and is supported in this role by the Office of the Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner. The position came into effect on July 9,2007,with the coming into force of the Conflict of Interest Act. This act,in turn,was enacted as part of the Federal Accountability Act.
A permanent secretary is the most senior civil servant of a department or ministry charged with running the department or ministry's day-to-day activities. Permanent secretaries are the non-political civil service chief executives of government departments or ministries,who generally hold their position for a number of years at a ministry as distinct from the changing political secretaries of state to whom they report and provide advice. The role originated in the civil service of the United Kingdom and has been adopted in several Commonwealth countries as well as other countries influenced by the Westminster system.

The Herald Chancellor is an officer at the Canadian Heraldic Authority. The office is always filled by the Secretary to the Governor General. The Herald Chancellor is responsible for the administration of the entire vice-regal office. In some ways,the position is analogous to the Earl Marshal in England,as it is the Herald Chancellor who issues the warrants permitting the Chief Herald of Canada to make grants of arms. The Herald Chancellor also signs each completed grant document,along with the Chief Herald.

Judith Isabel Guichon,,is a Canadian rancher and organizer who served as the 29th Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia,serving from 2012 to 2018. She was the viceregal representative of Queen Elizabeth II in the province of British Columbia,and was appointed by Governor General David Johnston on the advice of then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
The Advisory Committee on Vice-Regal Appointments was established on 4 November 2012 to assist the government of Canada with the appointment of the governor general of Canada,provincial lieutenant governors,and territorial commissioners. The committee was disbanded following the defeat of the Conservative Party of Canada,led by Stephen Harper,in the 2015 federal election and remains "dormant" under Harper's successor as prime minister,Justin Trudeau.

Yaprak Baltacioğlu is a retired Canadian public servant,lawyer,and professor of Turkish descent. She has held senior leadership positions in the Canadian public service,serving as Secretary of the Treasury Board from 2012 to 2018. Baltacioğlu retired from the public service in 2018,and was appointed as the twelfth Chancellor of Carleton University in 2018. She is also on the faculty at the School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Toronto where she teaches graduate courses.
