Judith Ann Strong (born March 26, 1960) is a former field hockey player from the United States, who was a member of the Women's National Team that won the bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. She briefly coached field hockey at Western New England University located in Springfield, Massachusetts. Currently, Strong is a field hockey and lacrosse referee at the collegiate level.
Strong played collegiate field hockey at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was a physical education teacher at Smith College where she also coached field hockey and lacrosse. [1]
Karen Christina Shelton is the current head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels field hockey. Shelton is a former field hockey player from the United States, who was a member of the U.S. National Team from 1977–84 and a starter on the team that won the bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. She attended West Chester State and was a member of three field hockey NCAA championship winning teams and one lacrosse NCAA national championship team. She qualified for the 1980 Olympic team but did not compete due to the Olympic Committee's boycott of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Russia. As consolation, she was one of 461 athletes to receive a Congressional Gold Medal many years later.
Patricia ("Patty") Ann Shea is a former field hockey goalkeeper from the United States, who was a member of the US women's team that finished fifth at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. She also competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, where Team USA finished in eighth and last position.

Melissa González is an American field hockey player. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed for the national team. She was born in Peekskill, New York. She attended Lakeland High School. González completed her collegiate field hockey career at the University of Connecticut. She gained multiple awards during her collegiate career including First Team All-American and Big East Conference Defensive Player of the Year. González has competed in World Championship games since 2014. She was named Best Player of the Tournament at the 2017 World League Semifinals in Johannesburg, South Africa. González's Olympic experience includes the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England, and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In addition to playing, she has been a volunteer assistant coach at UConn, Yale and the University of Massachusetts.
The United Women’s Lacrosse League (UWLX) was a women's lacrosse league in the United States. It was co-founded in Boston, Massachusetts, by Digit Murphy and Aronda Kirby of the Play It Forward Sports Foundation, under the ownership of United Women's Sports LLC in a strategic partnership with STX. Penn State women's lacrosse alum and former United States national team player Michele DeJuliis was appointed as the league’s first commissioner. DeJuliis left after the 2016 season to found the Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL); Kristan Ash served as the second and final league commissioner.
Marisa Didio is a former United States women's national field hockey coach, having coached teams for U.S. Olympic Festivals in 1989, 1990 and 1991, and at Northwestern University and Yale University. She represented the United States as a player at national level in field hockey (1978-1980) and lacrosse (1978).
