Jul i Kapernaum ("Christmas in Capernaum") was the Sveriges Television's Christmas calendar in 1995. [1]
The show is a fantasy-musical set in the small town of Kapernaum. [2]
The series was released to VHS in 1997. [3] and to DVD on 27 October 2006.
"Nu tändas tusen juleljus" is a Christian traditional Swedish language Christmas song, written in 1898 by the Swedish song text writer Emmy Köhler. Translated into English, the title literally means "Now are lit a thousand Christmas candles". The theme of the song is the gospel of the newborn Christ and specifically its aspects of domestic harmony and inner peace, brought by the lights of candles as well as of the stars above, most importantly the star of Bethlehem. It was one of the most popular Christmas songs in Sweden during the 20th century, in churches, homes and schools. Swedish pop singer Agnetha Fältskog recorded the song on her album "Nu tändas tusen juleljus", named after the song, with her daughter Linda Ulvaeus.
Sunes jul was the 1991 SVT Christmas calendar. In 2004, it was later released to DVD. In 2007, it was voted the third best Julkalender ever in Aftonbladet. It is based on the books series about the boy Sune by Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson.

The song’s later popularity is said to have been affected by publication in Gottfrid Berg’s Läroverkskören 1950 and after being recorded on record, it was heard in TV in the early 1960s.

With lyrics referring to childhood, it references snowy Christmases, probably on the Earth's Northern Hemisphere. "Julbocken", with the opening lines "En jul när mor var liten", is a Christmas song written by Alice Tegnér. The lyrics describe a time when the Julbocken was still a more popular Christmas gift-bringer in Sweden than the Jultomten or Santa Claus. The lyrics describe the goat giving presents, a doll for "Mother" when she was a child, who was frightened when the goat jumped; and for her brother, a drum and a trumpet. When the goat is old, he returns to "Mother", who now has children of her own.

Jul i främmande hamn is a Christmas song written by Sven Rüno, and recorded by Johnny Bode for Sonora, released in November 1938 as the B-side of "Den sista julresan" and by Erik Källqvist, released as an A-side for Columbia in December the same year. The song has also been recorded by Yngve Stoor, released on his 1957 EP White Christmas.
