David Aebischer is a Swiss former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League with the Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens and the Phoenix Coyotes. He was a member of the 2001 Stanley Cup champion Avalanche team, becoming the first Swiss native to achieve the feat. Aebischer also played several seasons in his native Switzerland with HC Fribourg-Gottéron, HC Lugano and the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers of the National League (NL).

He is known by the nickname The Gooch. He was drafted by the San Jose Sharks in the first round, eighth overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and has also played with the Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets, and Calgary Flames. In September 2015, he failed to catch on with the Toronto Maple Leafs after being initially signed to a professional tryout (PTO) contract during training camp. He eventually signed with HC Davos of the Swiss National League A where he spent the 2015–16 season. In September 2016, he made the Los Angeles Kings out of training camp and signed a one-year, two-way contract for the 2016–17 season.
Hnat A. Domenichelli is a Canadian-born former professional ice hockey player. He was drafted by the Hartford Whalers in the fourth round, 83rd overall, of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. He played 267 National Hockey League (NHL) games for the Whalers, Calgary Flames, Atlanta Thrashers and Minnesota Wild between 1996 and 2003 before moving to Switzerland where he has played for the remainder of his career in the National League A. After becoming a Swiss citizen in 2009, he would play for Switzerland at the 2010 Winter Olympics.
