Julianne Morris (born May 8, 1968[ citation needed ]) is an American actress.

Early life

Morris was born in South Carolina. Her family relocated to Windermere, Florida when she was young and she was raised there. She is the youngest of two children. Morris attended American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, [1] and graduated from North Carolina School of the Arts.[ citation needed ]

Career

In 1994, Morris landed a role as Tracy Pinkem in television film Witch Hunt . She played Amy Wilson on the soap opera The Young and the Restless from November 18, 1994 to May 22, 1996 and made a guest appearance on November 25, 2014. [2] [3] Morris portrayed Greta Von Amburg on Days of Our Lives from May 15, 1998 to April 19, 2002. [4] She was first introduced on Days of Our Lives as "Swamp Girl". Between her time on Y&R and Days of Our Lives, Morris spent time in South Africa, playing Rumina on the fantasy television series The Adventures of Sinbad . [5] She portrayed Amber Sullivan in television film Another Pretty Face (2002). [6] She has also appeared on Two and a Half Men . [7]

Morris married actor Kristoffer Polaha on June 7, 2003 at the Windermere Chapel. [8] [9] The couple has three sons born in 2004, 2006, and 2011. [10] [11]

She is a practising Christian. [12] She advocates sexual abstinence before marriage, saying "I believe marriage is ordained by God. The Bible teaches quite explicitly that the romantic attachment between a husband and a wife is a parallel to our relationship to God. There could be no stronger indication of its importance." [13]

Kristen DiMera is a fictional character from Days of Our Lives, an American soap opera on the NBC network. The role was originally portrayed by Eileen Davidson. Davidson joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in 1993, and departed in 1998 after a five-year stint. After a 14-year absence, Davidson returned to the role of Kristen in the fall of 2012. Kristen and her brother Peter were raised but not legally adopted by super villain Stefano DiMera at a very young age following the deaths of their parents; however, their mother Rachel was later revealed to be alive.

The role was portrayed from 1998 to 2000 by Kristian Alfonso, who also plays Hope Williams Brady on the series. In addition to being a separate character who was Hope's doppelganger, "Princess Gina" was also a persona exhibited by Hope herself while under mind control. Alfonso reprised the role of Princess Gina after the character's death, both as visions of the real Gina in 2001, 2019 and 2020, as well as Hope behaving as Gina in 2012, 2019, and 2020. Sasha Higgins stepped into the role for one episode of Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem in 2021.

Days of Our Lives is an American television daytime soap opera broadcast on NBC. It is one of the longest-running scripted television programs in the world, airing nearly every weekday since November 8, 1965. A co-production of Corday Productions and Sony Pictures Television, the series was created by husband-and-wife team Ted Corday and Betty Corday. During Days of Our Lives' early years, Irna Phillips served as a story editor for the program and many of the show's earliest storylines were written by William J. Bell, who would depart the series in 1975 to focus full-time on The Young and the Restless, which he created for CBS in 1973.
