Julien Carraggi (born 2 July 2000) is a Belgian badminton player. [2] Carraggi participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, helping the team Theta to win the bronze medal in the mixed team event. [3]

Career

2021

Carraggi became Belgian Badminton Champion in 2021, in which he won against Frédéric Gaspard 21–7 and 21–4. [4]

2022

In January, he lost in the quarter-finals of Syed Modi International from Irish player Nhat Nguyen. [5] Carraggi became Belgian Champion for the 2nd time, where he won against Yaro van Delsen 21–15, 20–22 and 21–9. [6]

2023

In April, he competed in the Dutch International tournament and won his first international title in the final by defeating Dutch player Joran Kwekeel. [7] He then proceeded to win his second senior title in the next month at Austrian Open, after defeating Huang Yu-kai from Chinese Taipei.

2024

In July, he represented his country at the 2024 Summer Olympics. [8]

Born to a Chinese-Indonesian father and a Belgian mother, He is a 10 time Belgian Champion in the men's singles category which makes him the most successful men's singles athlete in Belgian history. Edi Subaktiar is an Indonesian former badminton player specializing in doubles. He was the 2012 World Junior mixed doubles champion partnered with Melati Daeva Oktaviani. In the international competition, he was paired with Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja in mixed doubles and with Ronald Alexander in men's doubles. Since 2008, he joined PB. Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java where his pair in mixed doubles Widjaja also joined. He retired in 2019 after a long injury which had prevented him to play again since it occurred at the 2017 SEA Games.

At the 2020 Olympics, he won bronze in the men's singles event, becoming the first Youth Olympic badminton medalist to win a medal at the Olympics. Ginting was part of Indonesia's winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.

Julien Maio is a French badminton player. He started playing badminton at CEBA club in Strasbourg. He won the bronze medal at the 2013 European Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event, and silver medal in mixed team event. He claimed his first international title at the 2015 Eurasia Bulgaria International in the men's doubles partnered with Jordan Corvée. Maio was three times National champions winning in 2017–2019.

Thom Mark Gicquel is a French badminton player. Competing in the mixed doubles, he was able to reach the top 10 of the BWF world rankings with his partner Delphine Delrue. Georges Julien Paul is a Mauritian badminton player. Paul took part at the 2014 African Youth Games, and won three gold medals in the individual event. He was part of the national team that won the gold medal at the 2015 African Games. Paul won the men's singles title at the 2018 and 2020 African Championships.

He has also won bronze medals at the Asia Team and Asia Mixed Team Championships. Sen won the Canada Open and was the runner-up at the All England Open. At the junior level, he has won a gold and silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games, a bronze medal at World Junior Championships and a gold and bronze medal at Asia Junior Championships.

Koceila Julien Mammeri is a badminton player who trained at the Oullins club in France. Born in France, he represents Algeria internationally. In the junior event, he was the third place at the Portugal International tournament in the boys' doubles event. He won gold medals at the 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 African Championships for men's doubles with his partner Youcef Sabri Medel, and in 2018 and 2019 for mixed doubles with Linda Mazri, and also in 2021 and 2022 for mixed doubles with Tanina Mammeri. He claimed the mixed doubles gold medals at the 2019 African Games with Mazri and in 2023 with Tanina Mammeri.

Christo Popov is a French badminton player who affiliate with Fos club. He was the boys' doubles European U15 and U17 Junior Champions, also won the boys' singles silver medals at the 2018 European and 2019 World Junior Championships. He reached a career high as boys' singles World Junior number 1 in January 2020. He then clinched the boys' singles title at the 2020 European Junior Championships. In 2024, he became the first Frenchman to reach the semi-finals of the All England Open.
