Julien Malzieu (born 4 May 1983 in Le Puy-en-Velay, Haute-Loire, Auvergne) is a French rugby union and sevens player for Montpellier in the Top 14 competition.
A tall and rangy wing, Malzieu burst onto the international scene in the 2008 Six Nations Championship, scoring a try on his debut for France against Scotland.
However, despite his promising start he did not gain a regular spot in the side with coach Marc Lievremont giving many other players a chance. The next time he scored was during the 34–10 loss to England in the 2009 Six Nations Championship. He scored another try the next week against Italy, but missed the 2009 Autumn internationals.
He was recalled for the 2010 Six Nations Championship after injuries to Aurélien Rougerie and Benjamin Fall but just played a bit part role coming off the bench a few times.
There is much competition in his position for France which has limited his time on the pitch so far.
At club level he has played an integral role in the rise Clermont Auvergne to the forefront of European rugby. He is seen as a reliable points source for them as his prolific try scoring record shows.
His brother, Jérémy Malzieu was in the Clermont Auvergne squad, but now plays for Saint-Etienne in the Pro D2.
His other successes include being played as a starter in most of the recent 2012 Six Nations Championship games in which he scored a try in the first game against Italy.

Association Sportive Montferrandaise Clermont Auvergne is a French professional rugby union club from Clermont-Ferrand in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes that currently competes in Top 14, the top level of the French league system. Aurélien Rougerie is a French former rugby union player who played on the wing and center for France and ASM Clermont Auvergne in the French Top 14 for his entire 19-year career.
Delon Anthony Armitage is a rugby union coach and former player who played at wing or fullback for Lyon OU and is capped for England. He also occasionally played centre. Armitage started out at London Irish and Toulon. He sometimes did place kicking, mainly from a distance or if the regular kicker was unable to take it. He left Toulon at the end of the 2015/2016 season to join French Top 14 side Lyon. He retired at the end of the 2018/2019 season.

Julien Bonnaire is a former French rugby union footballer, who played for CS Bourgoin-Jallieu in the Top 14 competition in France until the 2006–2007 season. He moved to ASM Clermont Auvergne during the summer of 2007. Bonnaire retired from International rugby after the 2012 Six Nations. However, he continued to play for club side, ASM Clermont Auvergne. Capping a decade of success between 2007 and 2017, before retiring and moving into coaching. He was most recently an assistant for France specialising in lineouts.
Gonzalo Canale is an Italian Argentine rugby union footballer. His usual position is in the centre or at full back. He plays for French club ASM Clermont Auvergne. Canale has also been capped for the Italy national team, and was a part of their squad at the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia and the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

Mathieu Bastareaud is a former French rugby union player. Originally a Centre, he played for RC Massy, Stade Français, and then eight seasons at the RC Toulon with whom he won three European Cups and a French Championship. In 2019, he moved to Lyon Olympique Universitaire for one season where he changed position to Number 8. In 2020, he left for the United States where he played for Rugby United New York, before returning to Lyon. In 2022 he returned to Toulon, still as a Number 8.
Wesley Fofana is a former French rugby union player, of Malian descent, who played his entire 14 year career for ASM Clermont Auvergne in the Top 14 and the France national rugby union team. He played as a wing or centre, and won the Top 14 with Clermont in 2010 and 2017. In France he is known as Le Guépard for his pace.
Jacques Brunel is a French rugby union coach and former player. He was most recently the French national team head coach, having previously been assistant coach for his nation and had led the Italian national team between 2011 and 2016. Brunel, who has spent most of his career in France, formally coached his former team Auch, as well as Bordeaux Bègles, Colomiers, Pau and Perpignan.

Vernon Anthony Cotter is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former player, who was most recently the head coach of the Fiji national team. He was part of the coaching staff for the successful Crusaders side between 2005 and 2006, before coaching in France with Clermont Auvergne between 2006 and 2014. He coached the Scotland national team from 2014, including at the 2015 Rugby World Cup, and left his role in May 2017 as his contract was not extended by the Scottish Rugby Union. In January 2020 Cotter was appointed coach of Fiji, but resigned in January 2023.
