Georgel Julio Arevalo Reyes-Rosas (born January 18, 1985), known professionally as Julio Reyes, is a Mexican singer, songwriter, musician, actor, voice coach and vocal producer. A graduate of Berklee College with a degree in vocal performance and composition, [2] he is currently based in Los Angeles. [3] After making it to the finals in the 2012 competition Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento on Estrella TV, [3] later that year he released his debut album No Inventes on Sony Music Latin. The lead single "No Inventes" peaked at No. 40 on the Billboard Regional Mexican Songs Chart. [4]
His music has been used in the soundtracks for shows such as Dos Hogares , [5] and in 2014 he made his acting debut as the lead role in Pecado Mortal: Historias de Corrido, where he plays an assassin. [5] In 2015, Reyes released a video and track titled "Me Canse De Rogarte," [6] the first single of his upcoming album [7] Region*Al*Ternativo. [3] He has co-written songs for pop artists such as Chiquis, Gloria Trevi and Anahí, several of which charted prominently on Billboard . [8]
Georgel Julio Arevalo Reyes was born on January 18, 1985, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. [2] Inspired by the mariachi vocals of his mother, [3] Georgina Reyes, at a young age, [2] he and his brothers would often put on musical performances for their family. [9] Reyes was also inspired to go into music by his grandfather, a musician and singer of Jalisco heritage. [3] Reyes attended Berklee College in Boston, Massachusetts after winning a full music scholarship [2] at age seventeen. [3] After four years of practicing diverse genres [3] such as jazz and soul [9] and learning composition, production, music theory, and vocal performance, he moved to Los Angeles. [3]
In 2012 Reyes was a finalist at the talent competition Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento on Estrella TV as "Julio Arevalo." [3] Afterwards, he released his original song "No Puedo Regresar" and attracted the attention of Sony Music. [3] In August 2012, [2] Sony Music Latin released Reyes' debut album No Inventes [2] to favorable reviews in the United States and Mexico. [4] The twelve songs were completed over a two-year time period, [2] and the lead single "No Inventes" peaked at No. 40 on the Billboard Regional Mexican Songs Chart. [4] "Recompense" was the second single from the album to chart. [6] In September 2013, he performed at a Noche Bohemia showcase series in Encino, California. [10]
He was nominated in the "Artista Revelación del Año" (newcomer artist of the year) category at Premios Texas 2013. [11]
In 2014, his original song "Sin Verguenza" was featured in the Televisa soap opera Dos Hogares . [5] Also in 2014, Reyes made his acting debut as the title role in the film Pecado Mortal: Historias de Corrido, where he plays an assassin. The show debuted in January 2014 on the Fox channel Mundo, and was distributed by Cine Latino. [5] His track "Sin Verguenza" was used as the main movie theme. In 2015, Reyes released a video and track titled "Me Canse De Rogarte", the first single of his upcoming album set for fall release. [7] The upcoming project, titled Region*Al*Ternativo, employs genres such as soul, R&B, and ranchero, among others. [12] Produced by Ulises Lozano, it features a number of guest female vocalists. [3]
The track "Paloma Negra" where both Chiquis and Julio perform as a duet is a writing collaboration between T.Mendez, Reyes, U.Lozano and Chiquis. [13] The song is included in her debut album Ahora in 2014 [14] on Sony Music Latin. [15] Reyes also worked on a vocal producer on the entire production. [16] The overall album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums and No. 1 on the Billboard Regional Mexican Albums charts. [15] He has worked on other songs by Chiquis, including Billboard's Top 40 Latin Airplay song "Esa No Soy Yo" [17] and Billboard's Top 40 Regional Mexican song "Completamente." [8]
Reyes' most recent work as a songwriter includes his collaboration in the English version of the track "Habla Blah Blah" performed by Gloria Trevi in 2014 [18] and his collaboration with producer Humberto Gatica. [18] Directing Gloria's voice for her 2015 released album "El Amor," [18] [19] that same year Reyes worked as a songwriter on the No. 1 iTunes Brasil Hit Song "Están Ahí," [20] which was recorded by Mexican pop star Anahí in 2015 under Reyes' vocal direction. [21] In 2015 Reyes performed as a solo artist at the BMI Latin music showcase in New York City, [10] along with several other shows. [22]

Altagracia Ugalde Motta, better known as Ana Bárbara, is a Mexican singer. She has become a prominent figure within Latin entertainment since her professional debut in 1994 and is one of the leading female figures in regional Mexican music.
Reik is a Mexican pop rock band from Mexicali, Baja California, formed in 2003 by Jesús Alberto Navarro Rosas, Julio Ramírez Eguía, and Gilberto Marín Espinoza (guitar). The group's first five albums have been classified as Latin pop, but the group has since transitioned to a more urban-influenced sound since 2015. Reik has won a Latin Billboard Music Award, four Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica awards, and a Latin Grammy.
Anahí Giovanna Puente Portilla, known mononymously as Anahí, is a Mexican singer, songwriter and actress. In 1986, she started her acting career when she was cast on Chiquilladas. After working on many successful telenovelas produced by Televisa, including Alondra (1995), Vivo por Elena (1998), El Diario de Daniela (1998) and Mujeres Engañadas (1999), her first leading role was in Pedro Damián's production, Primer Amor... A Mil por Hora (2000). In 2003, she joined the cast in Clase 406. Anahí reached international success in 2004 after starring in Rebelde and being part of the twice-nominated for a Latin Grammy Award group RBD, who sold over 15 million records worldwide. "No Me Queda Más" is a song by American singer Selena on her fourth studio album, Amor Prohibido. It was released as the third single from the album in October 1994 by EMI Latin. "No Me Queda Más" was written by Ricky Vela, and production was handled by Selena's brother A.B. Quintanilla. A downtempo mariachi and pop ballad, "No Me Queda Más" portrays the ranchera storyline of a woman in agony after the end of a relationship. Talento de Barrio is the soundtrack album to the film of the same name and the fifth studio album starring Puerto Rican reggaeton singer-songwriter Daddy Yankee, who also performs the songs on the album. It was released on August 12, 2008, by Machete Music and El Cartel Records, to accompany the motion picture Talento de Barrio. The album was mainly produced by reggaeton producers Eli El Musicólogo and Menes. The album production explores reggaeton with elements of tropical music such as merengue and dancehall along with EDM and electropop sounds. It receive positive reviews and was nominated for Best Urban Album at the 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards. The album was supported by four official singles: "Somos de Calle", "Pose", "Llamado de Emergencia", and "Que Tengo Que Hacer?".
"Hasta Que Te Conocí" is a song by Mexican singer-songwriter Juan Gabriel. It was released in 1986 as the third single from his studio album Pensamientos. Written and produced by Gabriel, the song's lyrics focus on a protagonist learning the meaning of suffering after meeting a lover who mistreats him. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot Latin Song chart. A live version of the song was included on his album En el Palacio de Bellas Artes (1990) which peaked at number ten on the Hot Latin Songs chart.
Los Tucanes De Tijuana are a Mexican norteño band led by Mario Quintero Lara. The band was founded in Tijuana, Baja California in 1987. They, along with Los Tigres del Norte, were pioneers in playing their music in a rougher manner as opposed to the traditional norteño music of northeastern Mexico, subsequently influencing many other norteño artists from Mexico’s pacific states and giving that region of the country its signature norteño sound. During their career, Los Tucanes de Tijuana have garnered several awards and recognitions, including a Latin Grammy in 2012 for the album 365 días, five Grammy Award nominations, nine Lo Nuestro Awards nominations and multiple BMI Awards for Quintero as a composer. They are the first norteño music band to obtain an international film award by winning the Un Certain Regard Angel Film award at the Monaco International Film Festival for their participation in the documentary Los ilegales. In 2008, the group received a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Fame.
"Te Extraño, Te Olvido, Te Amo" is a song recorded by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin for his third studio album, A Medio Vivir (1995). The song was written by Carlos Lara, while the production was handled by K.C. Porter. It was released to radio stations and on CD by Columbia Records as the lead single from the album on September 5, 1995. A Spanish language soft ballad, it is about the singer's dream woman who has left him and as he struggles to forget her, he becomes depressed.
