Jung Byung-gil (born August 7, 1980) [1] is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Jung was trained at the Seoul Action School. [2] He graduated from Chung-Ang University, majoring in film, before making his directorial debut with a documentary about stuntmen, Action Boys, in 2008. [3] Jung gained international recognition with the action thriller The Villainess , which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017. He is set to make his Hollywood debut with Afterburn, an adaptation of the comic of the same name, starring Gerard Butler. [4]

Lee Byung-hun is a South Korean actor. He has received acclaim for his work in a wide range of genres, most notably Joint Security Area (2000); A Bittersweet Life (2005); The Good, the Bad, the Weird (2008); I Saw the Devil (2010); Masquerade (2012); and the television series Iris (2009) and Mr. Sunshine (2018). His critically acclaimed film Inside Men (2015) won him the Best Actor prize at the three most prestigious South Korean award ceremonies: 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards, 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards and 53rd Grand Bell Awards. Lee has seven films—Joint Security Area, The Good, the Bad, the Weird, Masquerade, Inside Men, Master, Ashfall and The Man Standing Next—on the list of the highest-grossing films in South Korea. Lee was Gallup Korea's Actor of the Year in the Film division in 2012 and in the Television division in 2018. In 2021, he appeared in a recurring role as the Front Man in the Netflix hit survival series Squid Game.

The film follows a handful of students-turned-graduates of the Seoul Action School as they try to find regular work as film stuntmen, with varying success. Released in South Korea on 28 August 2008, the film made its western debut at the Vancouver International Film Festival on 29 September 2008.

Emergency Declaration is a 2021 South Korean medical action thriller film written and directed by Han Jae-rim. It starring Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Nam-gil, Im Si-wan, Kim So-jin and Park Hae-joon. Filming restarted on September 12, 2020, after a postponement due to the COVID-19 resurgence in August 2020. The film was wrapped up on October 24, 2020.

The 27th Busan International Film Festival was held from October 5 at the Busan Cinema Center in Busan, South Korea till October 14. This year, the festival restarted events and program sections which were not conducted due to COVID-19 for last 2 years. The festival opened with Iranian film Scent of the Wind by director Seyed Hadi Mohaghegh, Jeon Yeo-been with Ryu Jun-yeol were master of ceremonies for the opening ceremony.
