K. Kunhiraman (born 28 February 1948) is an Indian politician from Kasaragod,Kerala. He is the ex-MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) representing Udma constituency. [1] Additionally,he is a District Committee member of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)).
K. Kunhiraman was born on February 28,1948,the son of Chandu Maniyani and Kunhamma Amma,at Alakott in Kasaragod district of the state of Kerala,India in a middle-class family. [2] His father Chandu Maniyani was a farmer,and his mother Kunhamma was a housewife.
Kasaragod is a municipal town and administrative headquarters of Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala,India. Established in 1966,Kasaragod was the first municipal town in the district. It is the northernmost district of Kerala and is also known as Sapta Bhasha Sangama Bhumi.

She is believed to have lived in the northern part of Kerala during the 16th century. She is a popular character in Kerala's folklore,and is remembered for her valour and skills in Kerala's native martial art,Kalaripayattu. According to legend,Unniyarcha was most known for her deadly skill with the whip-like Urumi,a unique type of sword that is native to Kerala. Like most traditional Kalaripayattu practitioners,she began training at the kalari at the age of seven.
C. V. Kunhiraman was an Indian social reformer,journalist and the founder of Kerala Kaumudi daily. A follower of Sree Narayana Guru,Kunhiraman was the author of a number of books covering the genres of novels,short story,poetry,biographies and essays. He was one of the leaders involved in the Vaikom Satyagraha of Reformation movement in Kerala which led to the Temple Entry Proclamation.

He became the president and secretary of Uduma area S.F.I committee. Then he became the president of S.F.I Kasaragode District committee. During the period of 1980-87 he became the member of S.F.I Kerala state committee. He also became the president and secretary of DYFI Uduma block committee and district committee. Then he became the member of DYFI state executive committee. He was also the Secretary of BalaSangam Rakhshathikari Samithi.
K. Kunhiraman was an Indian politician from Kasaragod,Kerala. He was the MLA of Trikaripur constituency from 2006 to 2016. He was a Member,State Committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist). He held a diploma in Ayurvedic medicine and was an Ayurvedic doctor. Kunhiraman died in Kannur on 13 December 2023,at the age of 80.

Aikya Kerala Movement,the movement to establish a united Kerala was one of the political movements in present-day Kerala state of India. The term Aikya Kerala literally means 'United Kerala'. It has been a statewide peaceful movement for a united Kerala state for all Malayalam speaking people,which lasted for more than three decades. Following the movement,The Malayalam-speaking regions of the Travancore–Cochin merged with the Malabar District and the Kasaragod Taluk of South Canara district in Madras State to form the modern Kerala state on 1 November 1956,according to the States Reorganisation Act,1956 passed by the Government of India.
