Karnad Sadashiva Rao Road, abbreviated as K S Rao Road, is a popular arterial road in Mangalore, India. It runs from PVS Circle at one end to Hampankatta on the other where it joins Maidan Road near Mangaluru Central Railway Station. This road is named after the indian freedom fighter Karnad Sadashiva Rao. [1]

S. K. Amin

Seetharam Koosayya Amin was an Indian freedom fighter and politician. He was the ex- vice president of the District Congress Committee, and was elected to Karnataka state legislative assembly from the Udupi constituency in 1967. He was also the founder of the South Kanara District Co-Operative Fish Marketing Federation, which was pivotal in uplifting the condition of the fisherman community as a whole though various socio-economical programmes. He played a key role in the mechanisation of fisheries in South Kanara. He was felicitated by the state government of Karnataka with the Karnataka Rajyothsava Award in 1990 for servicing co-operative movement and social service in the state of Karnataka.

Vamsha Vriksha, is a 1972 Indian Kannada-language film directed by B. V. Karanth and Girish Karnad, based on S. L. Bhyrappa's novel of the same name. The film won the National Film Award for Best Direction. It also won three Filmfare Awards in 1972.
