Hanuman Mandir, Kaharpur is a prominent temple in Kaharpur, serving as a significant center for devotional activities and festivals for the local populace. It is accesible via Kaharpur-Bhawanpura road . It is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and was rebuilt after the Old Hanuman Temple was submerged in Kosi.
Dozens of houses have been submerged in Kosi due continuous soil erosion by waves of Kosi river. The primary school and civil hospital have also been submerged in Kosi. [4]
