Kaire Mbuende

Kaire Mbuende (born 28 November 1953) is a Namibian politician and diplomat. Mbuende served as Namibian ambassador to the United Nations from August 2006 to December 2010. [1] An ethnic Herero, Mbuende has been a high-level member of the ruling SWAPO Party of Namibia since 1972, and served among others as information officer in Lusaka, Zambia. [2] From 2016 to 2020 Mbuende served as ambassador of Namibia to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg. [3]

On Heroes' Day 2014 he was conferred the Excellent Order of the Eagle, Second Class. [4]

Theo-Ben Gurirab was a Namibian politician who served in various senior government positions. He served as the second Prime Minister of Namibia from 28 August 2002 to 20 March 2005, following the demotion and subsequent resignation of Hage Geingob. Previously he was the country's first Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1990 to 2002, and was President of the United Nations General Assembly from 1999 to 2000. Heroes Acre (Namibia)

The Heroes' Acre is an official war memorial of the Republic of Namibia. Built into the uninhabited hills 10 kilometres (6 mi) south of the city centre of Windhoek, Heroes' Acre opened on 26 August 2002. It was created to "foster a spirit of patriotism and nationalism, and to pass [this] to the future generations of Namibia".

He was a governor of the Kavango Region, and after its split into Kavango West and Kavango East, also of these new entities. Lazarus Hangula has been the vice-chancellor of the University of Namibia from 2004 to 2018. He replaced Peter Katjavivi, who left to become an ambassador for Namibia. Hangula earned his M.A. and Ph.D. from the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in Germany. Before his appointment as vice-chancellor he served in various other roles at UNAM, among them Pro vice-chancellor for Academic Affairs and Research. Hangula was a member of Namibia's Delimitation Commission, a body advising on the country's administrative division.

Peter Hitjitevi Katjavivi is a Namibian politician who is the Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia since March 2015 and the chancellor of the Namibia University of Science and Technology from 1992 to 2003. Previously he was the founding Vice-Chancellor of the University of Namibia from 1992 to 2003, Ambassador to the European Union from 2003 to 2006, Ambassador to Germany from 2006 to 2008, and Director General of the National Planning Commission from 2008 to 2010.
