Kalees is an Indian director and screenwriter who works in Tamil and Hindi film industry. He is the former assistant of director Selvaraghavan. He made his debut with the 2019 techo-thriller film Kee.

Career

His maiden directorial debut was 2019 Tamil techno thriller film Kee [1] starring Jiiva and Nikki Galrani. The film got mixed reviews and bombed at box office. [2] He is currently making his Hindi directorial debut with Baby John which severs as a remake of 2016 film Theri starring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh. The film was supposed to release on May 31 but later postponed to December 25 due to incomplete production work. [3] [4]

Baby John is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Kalees that serves as a remake of Atlee's 2016 Tamil film Theri. The film stars Varun Dhawan in the title role, alongside Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi and Jackie Shroff, and is produced under Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios and A for Apple Productions.

Murad Khetani is Indian film producer and former businessman who primarily works in Hindi films. He started off his career as co-producer with the 2013 film Mickey Virus. He had his breakthrough with 2019 romantic drama film Kabir Singh,a remake of 2017 Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Khetani is a recipient of IIFA Award.
