Capitán FAP José A. Quiñones González International Airport is an airport serving Chiclayo, Peru and the surrounding metropolitan area. It is run by ADP a private airport operator that operates various airports in northern Peru. It is the main airport of the Lambayeque Region, one of the most populous regions of Peru.
A relief airport or reliever airport is an airport that is built or designated to provide relief or additional capacity to an area when the primary commercial airport(s) requires additional capacity, on a long-term or temporary basis. Reliever airports may also relieve the need for capacity by relocating non-jet general aviation activity from a commercial airport to a different facility. By removing aircraft with lower capacities and slower speeds, the commercial service airport is able to operate more flights with larger aircraft and handle more passengers increasing the efficiency with minimal additional cost in facilities. This also spreads out the aircraft over a wider area generally improving air traffic in the entire community.

Around seven Tanzanian sign languages were developed independently among deaf students in separate Tanzanian schools for the deaf starting in 1963, though use of several are forbidden by their schools. In 1984, a standardized Tanzanian Sign Language was proposed by the Tanzania Association for the Deaf, using common or similar signs where these exist in the schools which allowed research, but it has not been officially implemented, and there remains little influence between the languages. A dictionary has been produced. Lexically, the variety that developed in the oralist deaf school in Tabora is significantly different from the dictionary, and is under investigation.

The distance from the airport to Tobelo is about 75 kilometres (47 mi) and takes about 2 hours using land vehicle. The airport currently only serves daily domestic flights to Manado operated by Wings Air using the ATR-72 aircraft.

The airport serves as one of the main port of entry to the Raja Ampat Islands, which contains the richest marine biodiversity on earth, other than the larger Domine Eduard Osok Airport in Sorong. Marinda Airport was inaugurated on 9 May 2012 by former Minister of Transport E. E. Mangindaan. The airport was built due to the rapid increase of tourism coming to Raja Ampat Islands and the remoteness of the surrounding area, which was very difficult to access before. Currently, the airport can only accommodate small aircraft such as the ATR-72.
