Kanyakumari Glass bridge or Kanyakumari Glass fibre footover bridge is an footover bridge built for pedestrians to cross the sea connecting Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue both constructed on sea in Kanyakumari of Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu, India. [1] This is said to be the India's first glass bridge built on sea. [2]

This glass bridge is constructed having a breadth of 10 m and a span of 77 m, at a cost of about ₹37 crore. [3] This bridge is of the shape of a bowstring arch. [4] And the bridge was inaugurated on 30 December 2024 by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Kanyakumari is a town panchayat in Kanyakumari district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The Thiruvalluvar Statue, or the Valluvar Statue, is a 41-metre-tall(133 ft) stone sculpture of the Tamil poet and philosopher Valluvar, known as Thiruvalluvar, the author of the Thirukkural, an ancient Tamil work on morality. It is located atop a small island near the town of Kanniyakumari on the southernmost point of the Indian peninsula in the state Tamil Nadu, India, where two seas and an ocean meet. The statue was sculpted by Indian sculptor V. Ganapati Sthapati, who also created the Iraivan Temple, and was unveiled on the millennium day of 1 January 2000 by the then Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. It is currently the 25th tallest statue in India. During its silver jubilee celebrations, the Government of Tamil Nadu declared the statue as the “Statue of Wisdom”.

Mathur Aqueduct is an aqueduct in Thiruvattar taluk of Kanniyakumari district of Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was built in 1966 over the Pahrali River and takes its name from Mathoor, a hamlet near the aqueduct, which is about 3 km from Thiruvattar town and about 60 km from Kanniyakumari.
Perunchani Dam is an irrigation dam at Perunchani, Kanyakumari District, in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the dams of the Kodayar Irrigation System. As there was water deficiency in the Kodayar Irrigation System, Perunchani Dam was constructed in December 1952 to store flood water of the Paralayar River as an extension. It was built about 1 km (0.62 mi) upstream of the Puthen dam on the Paralayar River. The irrigation system became operational on 2 September 1953. It feeds the left bank irrigation canal system of the Puthen dam, which is the terminal structure of the system.

Kanyakumari Matti Banana ia a traditional table banana cultivar with medicinal value, characterized by its fragrant, sweet, and slightly acidic flavor, firm texture, and powdery nature and is a rare variety grown only in the hills of South Travancore which is near Nagercoil, Kanyakumari. It has three varieties: Semmatti (red-coloured), Then Matti (honey), and Malai Matti (Hill). Under its Geographical Indication tag, it is referred to as "Kanyakumari Matti Banana".
