Puducherry (union territory) Union territory of India

Puducherry, also known as Pondicherry, is a union territory of India. It was formed out of four territories of former French India, namely Pondichéry, Karikal (Karaikal), Mahé and Yanaon (Yanam), excluding Chandannagar. N. Rangaswamy Indian politician

Nadesan Krishnasamy Rangasamy is an Indian politician who is the Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Puducherry. He previously served as Chief Minister of Puducherry from 2001 to 2008 as a member of the Indian National Congress and then from 2011 to 2016 as a member of his own party, the All India N.R. Congress. He holds the record of becoming Chief Minister within three months after creating his own party. He also holds concessive record of becoming Chief Minister of Puducherry for fourth time.

The fifteenth legislative assembly election was held on 6 April 2021 to elect members from 30 constituencies of the Legislative Assembly in the union territory of Puducherry in India.

S. Chandira Priyanga is an Indian politician from All India NR Congress. In May 2016, she was elected as a member of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly from Nedungadu (constituency). The induction of Chandira Priyanga mean that Puducherry will have its first woman minister in 41 years.She defeated A. Marimuthu of Indian National Congress by 8,560 votes in 2021 Puducherry Assembly election. She is the daughter of former Puducherry minister M Chandirakasu.

P. R. N. Thirumurugan is an Indian politician from All India NR Congress. In 2011, he was elected as a member of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly from Karaikal North (constituency). He defeated A. V. Subramanian of Indian National Congress by 12,569 votes in 2021 Puducherry Assembly election.
