The Samajwadi Party is a socialist political party in India. It was founded on 4 October 1992 by former Janata Dal politician Mulayam Singh Yadav and is headquartered in New Delhi. The Samajwadi Party is currently led by former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,Akhilesh Yadav. As of 2024,it is currently the third-largest political party in India,and the largest party in Uttar Pradesh.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan is an Indian politician who is serving as the 32nd Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare and 23rd Minister of Rural Development since 11 June 2024. He was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from 2020 to 2023 and previously from 2005 to 2018 and a Member of Legislative Assembly in Madhya Pradesh from Budhni since 2006 to 2024 and previously from 1990 to 1991. Chouhan is the longest serving Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Karan Singh Yadav is a former Indian politician who was a member of the 16th Lok Sabha. He represented Alwar constituency of Rajasthan,and was a member of the Bhartiya Janta Party (INC) political party. He also served as the president of Rajasthan Yadav Mahasabha. He was an INS candidate in the 2018 assembly elections from the Kishangarh Bas constituency. He had four brothers and three sisters,and his father Ganpat Singh Yadav was an educated personality and was associated with the royal family of Bikaner. He died in 1989 due to cardiac arrest. Yadav's mother Sharbati Devi died from cancer in 1981. He joined BJP on 16 March 2024.

He was the president of the Wrestling Federation of India. In 2024,his son Karan Bhushan Singh,the president of Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Federation,was fielded in his place as the BJP candidate from Kaiserganj and he won by a margin of more than 140,000 votes.

Rajendra Pratap Singh,popularly known as Moti Singh,is an Indian politician affiliated to the Bhartiya Janata Party. He represents Patti assembly constituency of Pratapgarh district. He has been elected as the member of legislative assembly from the same constituency for four times in a row. In his fourth attempt for re-election there were errors in counting,which was later cleared by the high court. The then MLA was removed and the seat was left vacant after the decision of High Court. He won the 2017 elections from the same seat and became a Cabinet Minister in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Cabinet. Previously,Shri. Singh served as Uttar Pradesh state Minister of Agriculture in 2003. He was cabinet minister in First Yogi Adityanath ministry.

The veteran politician was a prominent figure of his time in Indian politics,and was often referred to as Netaji and Dhartiputra by party leaders and workers. In 2023,the socialist leader was posthumously conferred with Padma Vibhushan,India’s second highest civilian award by the Government of India.

In June 2024,Chaudhary defeated Harish Dwivedi of Bharatiya Janata Party and was elected to Indian Parliament,Lok Sabha from Basti Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh.
Vinod Kumar Singh alias Pandit Singh was an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. A three-time legislator and a senior member of the Samajwadi Party,Pandit Singh represented Gonda assembly constituency in the 13th,14th and 16th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly which is the lower house of the bicameral legislature of Uttar Pradesh. He also served as a cabinet minister in the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh under the chief ministership of Akhilesh Yadav. He also contested the 2019 parliamentary elections from Gonda but lost to Kirti Vardhan Singh of BJP. He died on 7 May 2021 from COVID-19 related complications at the age of 59 years.

He is presently the general secretary of the national executive of SP and he was a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly till 4 June 2024 when he was elected as an MP. He has been a nine time MLA elected from the erstwhile Sohawal (SC) constituency in 1977,1985,1989,1993,1996,2002 and 2007 and as of latest from Milkipur (SC) in 2012 and 2022. He has become a minister for six times in the Government of Uttar Pradesh and been a cabinet minister in four of them.
