Karel Jiri Jan Josef Fajfr (born 7 September 1943) [1] is a German figure skating coach based in Oberstdorf and a former pair skater for Czechoslovakia.
Competing in partnership with Věra Stehlíková, Fajfr won two silver medals at the Czechoslovak national championships (1964 and 1965). They won the bronze medal at the 1965 Prague Skate. After their partnership ended, he skated with Marika Nagyová for two seasons. They won two bronze medals at the Czechoslovak Championships.
Fajfr moved to Germany after the Prague Spring in 1968. From 1980 he coached in Stuttgart and led his daughter Scarlett to the 1981 German Junior national title. That same year, he coached the pair team of Tina Riegel / Andreas Nischwitz to the World bronze and European silver medals. He also coached Heiko Fischer, a five-time German national champion.
In autumn 1994 an investigation was launched into alleged abuse of some of his students. [2] Fajfr was charged with eleven counts of sexual abuse and two counts of battery. [3] In December 1995, he was sentenced to two years probation, fined 25,000 Deutsche Mark, and given a three-year Berufsverbot (professional disqualification). [4]
In July 2019, another former student accused Fajfr of psychological and physical abuse. [5]

The Czechoslovakia national basketball team represented Czechoslovakia in international basketball from 1932 to 1992. After the Dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1993, the Czech Republic and Slovakia set up their own national teams. Both teams are recognized as the successor to the Czechoslovak team.

Mari-Doris Vartmann is a German pair skater. With Ruben Blommaert, she won four ISU Challenger Series medals. With Aaron Van Cleave, she is the 2015 German national champion, the 2011 NRW Trophy champion, and 2010 Warsaw Cup champion.
Daniel Wende is a German pair skater. With Maylin Wende, he is the 2010 Trophée Eric Bompard bronze medalist, the 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, and a two-time German national champion. They have competed twice at the Winter Olympics and have placed as high as sixth at the European Championships.
Michal Březina is a retired Czech figure skater. He is the 2013 European bronze medalist, 2011 Skate America champion, 2009 World Junior silver medalist and four-time Czech national champion. He also won the 2014-15 ISU Challenger Series. Michal represented the Czech Republic at the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics.
Katharina Gierok is a German pair skater. With former partner Florian Just, she is the 2011 German national bronze medalist. She previously competed in single skating and is the 2006–2007 German Junior national bronze medalist.
Rostislav Alexandrovich Sinitsyn is an ice dancer who competed for the Soviet Union. With his wife Natalia Karamyševa (Karamysheva), Sinicyn is the 1978 and 1980 Soviet national champion. Following his retirement from competitive skating, he works as a coach and choreographer and was naturalized as a Czech citizen.
Maylin Wende is a German pair skater. With husband and partner Daniel Wende, she is the 2010 Trophée Eric Bompard bronze medalist, the 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, and a two-time German national champion. They have competed twice at the Winter Olympics and have placed as high as sixth at the European Championships.

Annabelle Prölß is a German figure skater who is best known for her pairs career. With partner Ruben Blommaert, she is the 2013 Cup of Nice champion and 2013 German national senior champion. She has also competed in singles.

The 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy was held on September 26–28, 2013 at the Eislaufzentrum Oberstdorf. It is held annually in Oberstdorf, Germany and is named after the Nebelhorn, a nearby mountain. Medals were awarded in men's and ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Nebelhorn was the last qualifying event for the 2014 Winter Olympics.
