Karen J. Wagner High School is a high school in unincorporated Bexar County, Texas, United States. It is operated by the Judson Independent School District. The school has a San Antonio address but is not within the San Antonio city limits. For the 2021-2022 school year, the school was given a "C" by the Texas Education Agency. [2]

The school was named after Lieutenant Colonel Karen J. Wagner, a United States Army officer and a 1979 Judson High School graduate who was killed when an airplane hijacked by terrorists flew into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. [3]

The school's sports teams are known as the Thunderbirds.

Fine arts

The Wagner Marching Band won the USSBA TX State Championship three years in a row (2010, 2011, 2012). They won first place at all of their competitions for the 2011-2012 marching season. In 2011, the band went to the B.O.A. San Antonio Super Regional for the first time in its history, and placed 24th out of 72 bands. In 2012, they beat out over 120 bands and were named the Grand National Champion of the USBands Open National Championships, at Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ with a score of 97.52.

In the spring of 2010, the Wagner Color Guard (Crimson Precision) won State Championships (1st place) in the Novice class. They performed to "Glitter In The Air" by Pink.

In the spring of 2007, the Sabre Dancers dance team won first place in every group routine entered, and won Grand Champions on South Padre Island.

Other programs include Academic Decathlon (AcaDec), Business Professionals of America (BPA), Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), Theatre Arts, various clubs (Club De Español, French Club, Poetry Club, etc.), Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC), and FCCLA.

Judson High School is a public, co-educational secondary school in Converse, Texas, United States, 15 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio. It was established in 1959 as part of the Judson Independent School District, and is currently classified as a 6A school by the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Judson High School is the second oldest International Baccalaureate World School in Texas, since 1985. The school and the District were named after Moses Campbell Judson, who served on the Bexar County School Board from 1918 to 1939. His nephew Jack Judson was on the board when the decision was made to name the new rural high school Judson.

Clarissa Davis is a former Texas women's basketball All-American, who is also known as Clarissa Davis-Wrightsil. She is a National Player of the Year, Olympic and pro standout, and was inducted into Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in April 2006. She was one of six inductees in the Class of 2006, which features four former players and two coaches. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Davis played under coach Mike Floyd at John Jay High School before playing at the University of Texas. She also played basketball in Europe with Galatasaray Istanbul and Fenerbahçe Istanbul in Turkey and won Turkish Championships with both of these rival clubs. She won in 1991 EuroLeague Women. Clarissa Davis graduated with a Communications bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in 1989.

Tiffany Jackson-Jones was an American basketball player and coach. She played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns, earning All-American honors. Jackson played professionally in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) for the New York Liberty, Tulsa Shock, and Los Angeles Sparks. She also played in the Israeli Premier League for Maccabi Ashdod. She later returned to Texas as an assistant coach for the Longhorns.

Keller High School is a public high school located in the city of Keller, Texas and is served by the Keller Independent School District. The school educates students in the majority of the city of Keller, western Southlake, northwestern Colleyville, northern North Richland Hills, and most of Westlake, including the Vaquero development. Candi Harvey is a basketball coach at John B. Connally High School since 2012. Harvey began her head coaching career with Robert E. Lee High School from 1980 to 1984 before becoming an assistant coach at Stephen F. Austin University. From 1990 to 1998, Harvey was the head coach of the Tulane Green Wave women's basketball team and Texas A&M Aggies women's basketball team for four years each. With the Aggies, Harvey and her team won the 1995 National Women's Invitational Tournament and reached the first round of the 1996 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. In 1998, Harvey briefly worked in the American Basketball League as the coach of the Nashville Noise before the ABL closed the same year.

Kiana Williams is an American basketball player. She was drafted by the Storm with the 18th pick in the 2021 WNBA draft after playing college basketball at Stanford.

Spencer Burford is an American football guard for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UTSA.
