Kari Nordheim-Larsen (born 23 June 1948) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She was Minister of International Development from 1992 to 1997. She was also acting Minister of Children and Family Affairs from 1993 to 1994. From 2006 to 2018,Nordheim-Larsen was County Governor of Telemark. [1] [2]
Kari Traa is a Norwegian former Olympic freestyle skier. She won the Olympic title in the moguls event at the 2002 Winter Olympics,finished second at the 2006 games,and finished third at the 1998 games.
Arne Nordheim was a Norwegian composer. Nordheim received numerous awards for his compositions,and from 1982 lived in the Norwegian government's honorary residence,Grotten,next to the Royal Palace in Oslo. He was elected an honorary member of the International Society for Contemporary Music in 1997. On 18 August 2006,Arne Nordheim received a doctor honoris causa degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music. He died at the age of 78 and was given a state funeral.

Kari Gjesteby is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. She has never been a member of the Norwegian Parliament,but has been State Secretary for three tenures,as well as Minister of Trade and Shipping from February to October 1981 and Minister of Justice and the Police from 1990 to 1992. After her political career she has been a director in the Bank of Norway,director of the National Library of Norway and the Norwegian Library of Talking Books and Braille and,from 2009 to 2013,the first female State Conciliator of Norway.

Two former treasurers and two former leaders of the Oslo chapter were found guilty of fraud,and given prison sentences,for having unlawfully received 648,000 kr in grants from the City of Oslo between 1992 and 1994. The convicted were Ragnar Bøe Elgsaas,Anders Hornslien,Bjørn Jarle Rødberg Larsen and Anders Greif Mathisen. Anders Mathisen's sentence was suspended.

Kari Diesen was a Norwegian singer and revue actress. She worked for the revue theatre Chat Noir from 1937 to 1953,and for the Edderkoppen Theatre from 1954 to 1959. She participated in 24 films between 1941 and 1985. Among her best known song recordings is her version of "Hovedøen".
