Kasadya Ning Taknaa (English: How Blissful is this Season, lit.'Happy is this Hour') is a Cebuano Christmas carol composed in 1933 by Vicente Rubi with lyrics by Mariano Vestil. Its famous counterpart is Ang Pasko Ay Sumapit , a modified version of the song written by Levi Celerio with lyrics in Tagalog (but not as a translation of the original); however, Celerio is often given all songwriting credit without any acknowledgment of Rubi and Vestil. Lyrics

Kasadya ning Taknaa (Cebuano) [2] [3] [4]
How Blissful is this Season (English) [5]

Pasiuna
Kasadya ning taknaa
Dapit sa kahimayaan
Mao ray among nakita
Ang panagway nga masanagon
Bulahan ug bulahan
Ang tagbalay nga gi-awitan
Awit nga halandumon sa tanang Pasko
Magmalipayon!

Koro
Bag-ong tuig
Bag-ong kinabuhi
Duyog sa among mga pagbati
Atong awiton ug atong laylayon
aron magmalipayon

Koro
Pasiuna
Pagtapos
Awit nga halangdumon sa tanang Pasko
Magmalipayon!

Preface
Oh, happy is this hour!
In this place nearest to the Holy
Where all that we witness
Are faces brightened up and jolly.
Blessed indeed, how blessed
Are the houses serenaded
With songs of noble sound and word, and every Christmas day
Will be full of bliss!

Chorus:
With the New Year
Is a new life to live!
Together with all our wishes and hopes,
Come let us sing them, oh come let us hum them
to fill our hearts with bliss

Chorus
Preface
Coda
With songs of noble sound and word, and every Christmas day
Will be full of bliss!

SNL Digital Short Video shorts

An SNL Digital Short is one in a series of comedic and often musical video shorts created for NBC's Saturday Night Live. The origin of the Digital Short brand is credited to staff writer Adam McKay, who created content for the show in collaboration with SNL hosts, writers, and cast members. The popularity of these segments exploded following the addition of The Lonely Island to the show, and it is to them that credit is given for ushering SNL "into the age of digital online content in a time when it needed to tap into that relevance more than ever." The Lonely Island's digital shorts were originally recorded with consumer grade digital video cameras and edited on personal computers. It is typical for the show's hosts and musical guests to take part in that week's Digital Short, and several shorts have included appearances by celebrities who were not scheduled to appear in any of that episode's live sketches.

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas Christmas song

"Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" is a Christmas song that originated with a poem by Emily Huntington Miller (1833–1913), published as "Lilly's Secret" in The Little Corporal Magazine in December 1865. The song's lyrics have also been attributed to Benjamin Hanby, who wrote a similar song in the 1860s, Up on the Housetop. However, the lyrics now in common use closely resemble Miller's 1865 poem. Some people have also attributed the lyrics to John Piersol McCaskey—a song editor and publisher, among other things, at the time. His great-great grandson said McCaskey wrote the song in 1867, and that the "Johnny" mentioned in the song who wants a pair of skates was McCaskey's late son, John, who died as a child. However, there is no known evidence for this. McCaskey's own published 1881 book, Franklin Square Song Collection No. 1, a book in which proper attribution is given to songs' lyricists and composers, does not list himself as having had anything to do with the song.
