Kate Schutt is an American singer and songwriter who has released two albums No Love Lost and The Telephone Game.
Schutt learned to play the guitar as a child and began playing the guitar and writing songs at the age of 11. [1] She gave first performance when she was 12 and wrote her first song at 13. She studied at The Berklee College of Music and Harvard University. [2] In 2002, she had throat surgery and did not perform again until July 2003. [3] She released a five-song EP, Heart-Shot, in 2004, on which Schutt played a Novax 8-string guitar/bass hybrid for the first time. [3]
She has released two albums, No Love Lost (2007), [4] and The Telephone Game (2008), through ArtistShare. No Love Lost topped the jazz charts in Canada. [5] Schutt was a winner of the jazz category in Session II of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2007. [6]
Winner of the 6th annual Independent Music Awards Vox Pop vote for best Jazz song "Two Halves of a Broken Heart". Schutt's "How Much in Love" was also nominated for the 7th Annual Independent Music Awards for Jazz song of the year. The Philadelphia News calls her "an enticingly languid vocalist, wry composer and sophisticated arranger in the pop/jazz vein." In 2000, Schutt founded her own label, Wild Whip Records. [7] She lived in Guelph, Ontario, Canada from 2004 until 2010, [8] playing and collaborating with Canadian musicians Duane Andrews, Michael Phillip Wojewoda, Andrew McPherson, and the band Gregory Pepper and His Problems. [9] [10] In 2010, she relocated to Manhattan. [2] Here her collaborators include Julian Lage and Scott Colley. She was a friend of the late guitarist Jim Hall.

Schutt lives in New York City. In November 2019 she delivered a TEDx (conference) talk called, "A grief casserole - how to help your friends and family through loss" about the experience of being her mother's caregiver for nearly five years. [11]

"You'll Be Mine" is a short song, composed by Lennon–McCartney in the Beatles' early years, then known as the Quarrymen. It was a humorous parody of vocal jazz group The Ink Spots. It consists of Paul McCartney singing in a deep baritone, offset with shrill falsetto backing vocals by John Lennon, and guitar strumming. The lead vocal sings, in rather confused lyrics, about his determination of making a woman his; while the falsettos wail the last word of each sentence. About halfway through the song, Lennon gives a mock-bass voice spoken interlude about how, when the woman brought him toast one morning, he looked into her eyes and saw a "National Health Eyeball", then proceeded to love her like he has never done before. The song rises to a crescendo of wailing and bellowing, then fades out in laughter. To add to the confusion, the song is very difficult to understand; clicks, buzzes, fuzz, giggling, and the baritone voice obscure the lyrics.

An independent artist who self-releases his albums, Myles has been able to gain an increasingly large audience, in part because of his active touring schedule and in part because of his cross-genre musical collaborations, which include a single made with the rapper Classified that became the biggest-selling rap single in the history of Canadian music.

Currently Associate Professor of Jazz Piano at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, he has published both full-length compositions for jazz ensembles and several studio albums. His 2003, 2006, and 2020 releases "explore jazz-influenced electro-acoustic hybrids." He has won a number of songwriting contests, including the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Maxell Song of the Year in 2004 for his song "Bandwidth", which also won the JLSC's Grand Prize in the Jazz Category.

EMAYLA, also known as Emanuela Bellezza is an Italian-American singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist, who gained popularity with her original music, after appearing on television networks MTV Très, Univision, RAI, Telefutura and TV Azteca. In 2012, she won a nationwide contest by MTV Très and was chosen by Colombian singer Juanes to sing a duet with him for inclusion on the Deluxe Edition of his album Juanes MTV Unplugged. Emayla won the contest by performing a cover of Juanes' song Fotografia. The album won a Grammy in 2013 as Best Latin Pop Album category. It also won two Latin Grammys: Album of The Year and Best Long Form Music Video. The video of their performance counts over a million and a half views on YouTube. As a result of these achievements, Emayla's song titled Ella Se Va was played in different main radios in Venezuela and reached the top 40 national music charts in the same country.

The music of Elsa y Elmar can be described as synth-pop, and it integrates elements of folk, tropical, and Latin music.
