Katrin Holtwick (born 10 April 1984) [1] is a German retired beach volleyball player. From 2006 to 2016, she played with Ilka Semmler. They competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Professional career

2016 World Tour

At the 2016 Grand Slam in Long Beach, California (Germany vs Germany) the pair finished 4th after a loss to their compatriots Chantal Laboureur/Julia Sude in straight sets (21-16, 21-17). [2] [3]

In September 2016 Holtwick retired after two losses in the German Beach Volleyball Championship. [4]

Marta Menegatti is an Italian beach volleyball player who plays as a left-side defender with her partner Viktoria Orsi Toth. With former teammate Greta Cicolari, she achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 4 in August 2012. Her career highlights include two gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals on the FIVB World Tour. She is also the 2011 European champion and the 2013 Mediterranean Games champion, both achieved with Cicolari. The pair participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics tournament and were eliminated in the round of 16 by the Italians Greta Cicolari and Marta Menegatti. They again competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics, losing in the last 16 to the Russian pair of Birlova and Ukolova.
