He contested on Indian National Congress ticket and emerged victorious. He defeated three term BJP MLA, Millind Naik by a margin of 1941 votes. Amonkar is a former Deputy Leader of Congress Legislative Party, former Vice President of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, former State President of National Union of Seafarers of India and President of Pradesh Youth Congress.
Yuri Lenon Elias Alemao is an Indian politician and businessman. He is the current member of the Goa Legislative Assembly from the Cuncolim Assembly constituency. Alemao won the Cuncolim Constituency on Indian National Congress in 2022 Goa Legislative Assembly election. He defeated former MLA Clafasio Dias of the Bharatiya Janata Party by a margin of 6,632 votes. On 20 September 2022, he was appointed the Congress Legislature party leader in Goa Assembly.
Venkatesh Atmaram Desai is an Indian politician and businessperson from Goa. He is a former member of the Goa Legislative Assembly, representing the Valpoi Assembly constituency from 1999 to 2002. He also served as a council minister in the Sardinha ministry.
