Keeper is an upcoming American horror film written by Nick Lepard and directed by Osgood Perkins. It stars Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland. The film is set to be released by Neon in the United States and Elevation Pictures in Canada on October 3, 2025.
Keeper follows a couple embarking on a romantic anniversary retreat to a remote cabin. When Malcolm (Sutherland) abruptly departs for the city, Liz (Maslany) is left alone. During her solitude, she encounters a malevolent force that reveals the disturbing secrets hidden within the cabin. [1]
In May 2024, Keeper was announced as a film for sale at the Cannes Film Market, with Osgood Perkins directing from a screenplay written by Nick Lepard. Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland were attached to star in the film, and Chris Ferguson and Jesse Savath were producing for Oddfellows. [1] The film had wrapped production by July 2024. [2]
At the 2024 Cannes Film Market, distribution rights were sold to Neon in United States and Elevation Pictures in Canada. Neon also purchased the worldwide rights as it expanded into international distribution sales. [3] The film is scheduled to be released theatrically on October 3, 2025. [4]
Tatiana Gabriele Maslany is a Canadian actress. She rose to prominence for playing multiple characters in the science-fiction thriller television series Orphan Black (2013–2017), which won her a Primetime Emmy Award (2016) and five Canadian Screen Awards (2014–2018). Maslany is the first Canadian to win an Emmy in a major dramatic category for acting in a Canadian series.
Rossif Sutherland is a Canadian actor, son of actor Donald Sutherland, brother of actors Angus Sutherland, Roeg Sutherland, and half-brother of actor Kiefer Sutherland. Rossif has appeared in various projects including TV series like ER and Crossing Lines and films such as Poor Boy's Game and River. As of fall 2024 he stars in the Canadian and B.C.-produced drama Murder In A Small Town based on the “Alberg and Cassandra Mysteries” crime fiction series by L. R. Wright.
