What I Deserve is the fourth studio album by Kelly Willis, released more than six years after her eponymous album. The album was her highest on the Billboard country charts at #30. Two of the tracks were written by Willis's husband Bruce Robison.
War Paint is the fourth studio album released by American country music artist Lorrie Morgan. The album was released via BNA Records in 1994. It contains the singles "My Night to Howl," "If You Came Back from Heaven," and "Heart Over Mind." Also included are covers of George Jones' "A Good Year for the Roses", recorded here as a duet with Sammy Kershaw, and Jeannie Seely's "Don't Touch Me." The cassette version of the album omits the track "Exit 99."
My Heart is a studio album by the country music artist Lorrie Morgan, released in 1999. It contains two chart singles: "Here I Go Again" (#72) and "Maybe Not Tonight", a duet with Sammy Kershaw (#17). The latter song was also included on Kershaw's 1999 album Maybe Not Tonight. The track "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You" is a cover of a Bryan Adams song.
One More Time is a compilation of songs from the first three albums by Kelly Willis, when she recorded with her first label, MCA Records. Of the fourteen tracks, three are from Well Travelled Love, five are from Bang Bang, and five are from Kelly Willis. The main reason that die-hard Willis fans may have for getting this album is "Little Honey," which has never appeared on a Willis album before, but was originally on MCA's Thelma and Louise movie soundtrack album from 1991.
Tell Me Why is the début album by country music artist Jann Browne. Three singles from the album rose to positions on the Billboard Country Singles charts: "You Ain't Down Home" at #19, "Tell Me Why" at #18, and "Louisville" at #75. Also featured on the album is a cover of The Davis Sisters' "I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know," a duet with veteran rockabilly artist Wanda Jackson. Hard Rain Don't Last is the debut album of country music singer Darryl Worley. It was released on July 18, 2000 via DreamWorks Records. The tracks "When You Need My Love", "A Good Day to Run", "Second Wind" and "Sideways" were all released as singles from this album. While the first three singles all reached Top 20 on the Hot Country Songs charts, "Sideways" peaked at #41.
The Restless Kind is American country artist Travis Tritt's fifth studio album, released on Warner Bros. Records in 1996. The tracks "More Than You'll Ever Know", "Helping Me Get over You", "She's Going Home with Me", and "Where Corn Don't Grow" were released as singles, all peaking in the Top 40 on the country charts. "Where Corn Don't Grow" was previously recorded by Waylon Jennings on his 1990 album The Eagle, and was a #67-peaking single for him that year. "Double Trouble" was a duet with Tritt's long-time friend and recording partner Marty Stuart.
The Greatest Hits Collection is the first greatest hits album by the Canadian country music singer Michelle Wright. It was released on November 2, 1999, on Arista Nashville/BMG Music Canada in Canada. The album has thirteen of Wright's singles and three newly recorded songs.
Just Another Day in Parodies is an album, released in 2000, from country music parodist Cledus T. Judd. It was his first album for Monument Records after parting ways with Razor & Tie. Although the album's title is a take-off on Phil Vassar's "Just Another Day in Paradise", Judd's parody of that song is not included on this album, but was included on his next album, Cledus Envy.
Songbird: Rare Tracks & Forgotten Gems is a 2007 box set of songs personally selected by Emmylou Harris: "I've selected not greatest hits, but personal favorites: that, with a few exceptions-have never appeared on any other compilations, but were important gems in the string of pearls that each album strives to become. Also included are special collaborations, unreleased live and demo tracks, as well as contributions to tribute projects, which I may now gather into this fold.”
Burn Your Playhouse Down – The Unreleased Duets is the 60th and final studio album by American country music singer George Jones released on August 19, 2008 on the Bandit Records label. It features duets never before released, including some that were cut from his 1994 duets album The Bradley Barn Sessions. The only new recording in the collection is "You And Me And Time", a song Jones recorded with his daughter by Tammy Wynette, Georgette. A music video accompanied the song. The album features several duets with artist from outside the country music pantheon, including Mark Knopfler, Leon Russell, and Keith Richards. The album peaked at number 15 on the Billboard country albums chart. Of the album's title track, Andrew Meuller of Uncut opined in July 2013, "The segue from Richards trying to sing like Jones to Jones actually singing like Jones is hilarious."
Country Sunshine is the fourth album by American singer/songwriter Bruce Robison. It was released in 2001 on Boar's Nest Records.
From Hell to Paradise is the second album by the American country music band The Mavericks. It was released in 1992 on MCA Nashville Records. The only album to feature David Lee Holt on lead guitar comprises ten songs, including re-recordings of four from their first album, The Mavericks (1991): "Mr. Jones", "The End of the Line ", "This Broken Heart" and "A Better Way". Two cover songs appear on this album: "Excuse Me " and "Hey Good Lookin'", which were previously recorded by Buck Owens and Hank Williams, respectively. The latter cover was one of two singles released from this album, and it peaked at #74 on the Billboard country charts in 1992. The other, "I Got You" b/w "A Better Way", failed to chart.
Love Travels is the ninth studio album released by American country music singer Kathy Mattea. It was released in 1997 on Mercury Records, the label to which she had been signed since 1984. Four singles were released from it: "455 Rocket", "I'm on Your Side", the title track, and "Patiently Waiting". "455 Rocket" was the highest charting, reaching a peak of #21 on the Billboard country charts, while "Love Travels" was her final Top 40 country entry at #39. Suzy Bogguss sang background vocals on "Further and Further Away."
What You Don't Know is the debut album released by country music artist Jon Randall and his only album released on the RCA Nashville label. Because of restructuring within the record company, this album received minimal promotion. His proposed next album, entitled Great Day to Be Alive, was shelved for the same reasons, although its title track was later a Top 5 hit for Travis Tritt in 2001.
21st Century Hits: Best of 2000–2012 is the fourth greatest hits compilation album by American country music artist Dwight Yoakam. It was released by New West Records on October 1, 2013. It includes songs from the albums Tomorrow's Sounds Today, Population Me, Blame the Vain, Dwight Sings Buck and 3 Pears, as well as a previously unreleased duet with Michelle Branch and a cover of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" from his previous greatest hits collection, the 1999 Last Chance for a Thousand Years, that also appeared on the soundtrack to the 2006 film The Break-Up.
