Kelsie Rainbow (born 26 September 1996) is an Australian netball player who has played in the Victorian Netball League and the Australian Netball League. In 2018 she was a member of the Tasmanian Magpies team that won the ANL title. In 2018 and 2019 Rainbow served as a training partner for Collingwood Magpies.
Rainbow is originally from Winnaleah, Tasmania. [1] [2] [3] Between 2011 and 2014 she attended Scotch Oakburn College and between 2015 and 2017 she attended Monash University where she studied nutritional science. [4] [5] [6] In 2012 she represented Tasmania as an under-18 cross country runner. [7] In December 2012, Rainbow finished 10th in the Intermediate Australian Schools Knockout National Final 800 metres in a time of 2:27.58. [8]
Rainbow played for Cavaliers, a Launceston-based team in the Tasmanian Netball League. In both 2011 and 2012 she was named in the TNL Under-19 All Star Teams and in 2013 she was named in the TNL Open All Star Team. [2] [9] [10]
Between 2015 and 2017, while attending Monash University, Rainbow also played for Monash University Storm in the Victorian Netball League. [4] [11] [12] [13] [14] Since 2018 she has played in the VNL for Melbourne University Lightning. [15] [16] [17] [18]
In 2016 Rainbow was called up as a replacement player for Victorian Fury. [11] She was subsequently included in the 2017 Fury squad. [13] [14] [19] While a member of the Fury squad she also served as a training partner with Melbourne Vixens. [1] [3] [20]
In 2018 Rainbow began playing for Tasmanian Magpies. [3] [15] Together with Melissa Bragg, Gabrielle Sinclair and Cody Lange, Rainbow was a member of the Magpies team that won the 2018 Australian Netball League title. [21] [22] She was subsequently included in the 2019 and 2020 Tasmanian Magpies squads. [18] [23] [24] [25]
In 2018 and 2019 Rainbow served as a training partner for Collingwood Magpies. [3] [26] [27] On 29 March 2018 she made her senior debut for Collingwood Magpies during the Tasmanian Netball Invitational Series at the Silverdome in Launceston. [3] [27] [28]
Rainbow was included in an advance Australia squad for the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup. [6] [12] [29] [30]
Melbourne Vixens is an Australian professional netball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. Since 2017 they have represented Netball Victoria in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. The team was formed in 2007 when Netball Victoria merged its two former Commonwealth Bank Trophy league teams, Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne Kestrels. Vixens have won three premierships, in 2009, 2014 and 2020.

She previously played netball for the Collingwood Magpies, and Australian rules football for the Collingwood Football Club, playing both sports concurrently. She also played for the West Coast Fever, New South Wales Swifts and the Australia national team during her netball career.
Karyn Bailey is a former Australian netball player who played for the Melbourne Vixens, Adelaide Thunderbirds. and played for the Surrey Storm (UK) from 2018 - 2021. After Storm's final game on Monday 21st June 2021, she retired from domestic netball after 17 years of playing top-flight netball.
Mwai Kumwenda(Note 1) is a Malawi netball international player. She represented Malawi at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. Kumwenda was the top goal scorer at three successive major tournaments – the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the 2015 Netball World Cup and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. At the 2015 Netball World Cup she was also named player of the tournament. Kumwenda captained Malawi and was again tournament top scorer when they finished third at the 2016 Fast5 Netball World Series. At club level Kumwenda has played for Peninsula Waves in the Victorian Netball League, Victorian Fury in the Australian Netball League, Mainland Tactix in the ANZ Championship and for Melbourne Vixens in Suncorp Super Netball.
The Collingwood Magpies were an Australian professional netball team in Melbourne that competed in the premier domestic league, Suncorp Super Netball. The team was founded in 2016, during the disbanding of the ANZ Championship. The Magpies were owned by the professional Australian Football League entity, the Collingwood Football Club. The team's home games were predominantly played at John Cain Arena. In May 2023, news reports disclosed that the team was in financial distress, and later that month the Collingwood Football Club announced it would withdraw its netball team at the conclusion of the 2023 season.
Fiona Themann, also known as Fiona Fowler, is a Scotland netball international. She represented Scotland at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2015 Netball World Cup. At club level, she has played for Melbourne Phoenix in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy, Melbourne University Lightning in the Victorian Netball League, Victorian Fury in the Australian Netball League and for Adelaide Thunderbirds in Suncorp Super Netball. She captained Fury when they won ANL premierships in 2015 and 2016. In 2016 she helped three different teams win league titles. In addition to captaining Fury, she also helped Lightning win the VNL Championship and Newbridge win the LVFNL premiership.

Sophie Muriel Garbin is an Australian netball player. She was a member of the New South Wales Swifts teams that won the 2019 and 2021 Suncorp Super Netball titles. In 2017 she was also a member of the Western Sting team that won the Australian Netball League title. She was also a member of the Australia team that won the bronze medal at the 2018 Fast5 Netball World Series. She also sits on the board of the Australian Netball Players’ Association. Garbin's older sister, Darcee Garbin, is an Australia women's basketball international.
The Australian Netball Championships, formerly the Australian Netball League, is an Australian netball competition. Since 2008 it has served as a second level competition, initially below the ANZ Championship and later below Suncorp Super Netball. It is organised by Netball Australia. The teams in the competition are effectively the reserve teams of Suncorp Super Netball teams and/or the representative teams of state netball leagues, such as the South Australia state netball league, the Victorian Netball League and the West Australian Netball League. Victorian Fury were the inaugural ANL champions. Fury are also the competition's most successful team, having won eight premierships. The 2020 ANL season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the competition was subsequently re-branded as the Australian Netball Championships.

Caitlyn Nevins, also known as Caitlyn Strachan, is a former Australia netball international. Between 2014 and 2016, she was a member of three successive ANZ Championship winning teams. She won her first title with the 2014 Melbourne Vixens before winning the 2015 and 2016 titles with Queensland Firebirds. She was a member of the Victorian Fury teams that won Australian Netball League titles in 2009, 2013 and 2014.

Victorian Fury are an Australian netball team that represents Netball Victoria in the Australian Netball League. In 2008 they were both founding members and the inaugural champions of the league. They retained the title in 2009 and completed a three in row in 2010. They then won it four times in a row between 2013 and 2016. In 2019 they won their eighth ANL title. They are the most successful team in the ANL. Fury are effectively the representative team of the Victorian Netball League and the reserve team of Melbourne Vixens.
The Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures is an Australian netball team that represents Netball South Australia in the Australian Netball League. In 2008 they were founder members of the ANL. Between 2008 and 2011 they played as South Australia. After rebranding to the Southern Force, the team was ANL champions in 2012 and 2022 and were runners-up in 2015. The Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures are effectively the representative team of the Netball South Australia Premier League and the reserve team of Adelaide Thunderbirds.
Tasmanian Magpies are an Australian netball team that represents Tasmania in the Australian Netball League. They were ANL champions in 2018. The team was formed in 2017 as a partnership between Netball Tasmania, the Tasmanian Government and Collingwood Magpies. Tasmanian Magpies are effectively the reserve team of Collingwood Magpies.
Netball New South Wales Waratahs is an Australian netball team that represents Netball New South Wales in the Australian Netball Championships. In 2008 they were founder members of the ANL/ANC. They were ANL/ANC champions in 2011 and 2024 and have been grand finalists on a further five occasions, making them the second most successful team in the ANL/ANC after Victorian Fury. Waratahs are effectively the reserve team of New South Wales Swifts.
GIANTS Netball Academy is an Australian netball team that represents Netball New South Wales in the Australian Netball League. The team was originally formed in 2016 as a partnership between Netball ACT, Netball New South Wales and Giants Netball. Between 2017 and 2019 they played in the ANL as Canberra GIANTS. They were grand finalists in 2018. In 2019, Netball ACT and Giants Netball ended their partnership and the latter relaunched the team as the Giants Netball Academy. Netball ACT subsequently formed a new ANL team, Capital Darters.
Beryl Friday is an Australian netball player. Friday was a member of the Queensland Firebirds teams that won the 2015 and 2016 ANZ Championships. She has also played for Queensland Fusion, Territory Storm and Canberra Giants in the Australian Netball League, Team Bath in the Netball Superleague and West Coast Fever in Suncorp Super Netball.
