Kenneth Cortsen (born 25 April 1976) is a Danish sport management researcher from Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University and Associate Professor from University College of Northern Denmark (UCN), Department of Sport Management. His work places research at the heart of commercialization of sports.
Via his position at UCN, Cortsen has helped develop and implement the first professional bachelor's degree in sport management in Denmark as well as other educational and research activities related to sport economics, sport management, and sport marketing. This includes collaboration with various sport organizations and personalities in Denmark and abroad, which has provided a better framework for sport management research in Denmark.
As a Ph.D. student linked to Centre for Corporate Communication [1] at Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus University, Cortsen's research focuses on the intersection between sport marketing, sport economics, and sport management and involves collaboration with several important actors connected to the sports industry, ranging from corporations, sport organizations and athletes - including Carlsberg, Hummel, NFL, DIF, DBU, Annika Sörenstam, Brandi Chastain etc. These research initiatives have facilitated an in-depth understanding of important commercial mechanisms in sports and has coined the term hybrid sports branding. [2] [3] His research also encompasses strategic CSR in sports [4] [5] and commercial business models in sports seen from an economic brand perspective. [6] As a result of his research, Cortsen has travelled across international research environments, including research visits or research collaboration at the University of San Francisco, Harvard Business School [7] and University of Northern Colorado. Based on his knowledge and expertise, Cortsen contributes with comments in different media's coverage of commercial problem areas in Danish and International sport. Cortsen has also conducted reviews of academic work for the European Association of Sport Management [8] and for Sport, Business, Management - an international journal.

The 1963–64 Danish Cup was the 10th installment of the Danish Cup, the national association football cup competition in Denmark. This year's edition began with the regional qualifying rounds among the lower ranking members of the six regional governing bodies in early May 1963, and concluded with the grand cup final on 7 May 1964. A total of 707 clubs participated in the cup tournament – the highest number of teams since the cup's foundation. 671 teams were registered for the qualifying rounds, of which only 44 teams would quality for the proper rounds, under the auspices of the Danish FA's tournament committee, joined by 36 additional teams from the first, second and third divisions in the Danish football league system.

Governed by the Jutland Football Association (JBU), the season was launched on 30 March 1964, and the last round of regular league matches concluded on 8 November 1964, with the league championship final being played on 15 November 1964. Silkeborg IF, Vorup Frederiksberg BK, Brande IF and Holstebro BK entered as relegated teams from last season's fourth-tier, while Hobro IK, Vejen SF, Viborg FF (reserves) and Aabyhøj IF Thrott entered as promoted teams from the 1963 JBUs Serie 1. Fixtures for the 1964 season were announced on 13 March 1964, 2½ weeks prior the season's start. The league featured reserve teams for higher ranking league clubs, whose players could indiscriminately be used on both the league and reserve teams, after a quarantine period of one match day.
