Kentucky Route 1039 is a 7.113-mile state highway in Kentucky that runs from KY 465 northwest of Sparta to SR 101 at the Indiana state line west of Warsaw on the Markland Dam Bridge. KY 1039 meets Interstate 71 less than a mile in length. Drivers wishing to access the Kentucky Speedway using I-71 north must use KY 1039 to and from the speedway until Speedway Boulevard goes to the right toward the speedway. KY 1039 has ramps to US 42 before crossing onto the Markland Dam Bridge.
KY 1039 begins at an intersection with KY 465 near Sparta in Gallatin County, heading south on a two-lane undivided road. The route makes a hairpin turn to the northwest and comes to a bridge over KY 465 before it comes to an interchange with I-71. Past this interchange, the road continues north through a mix of fields and woods with some development, coming to an intersection with KY 1130 (Speedway Boulevard), which provides access to Kentucky Speedway. KY 1039 continues north through more rural areas and comes to an interchange with US 42 west of Warsaw. Following this, the road crosses over the Ohio River on the Markland Dam Bridge. Here, KY 1039 comes to its northern terminus at the Indiana border, where it continues as SR 101. [1] [3]

Kentucky Route 1188 (KY 1188) was a 0.8-mile (1.3 km) state highway in Kentucky. Before the construction of KY 1039, KY 1188 ran from U.S. Route 42, up the present day ramp from US 42 to KY 1039 north, and across Markland Dam to the Indiana state line. It was decommissioned in 2006. [2]
Interstate 65 (I-65) is a major north–south interstate highway in the central United States. As with most primary interstates ending in 5, it is a major crosscountry, north–south route, connecting between the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. Its southern terminus is located at an interchange with I-10 in Mobile, Alabama, and its northern terminus is at an interchange with US 12 (US 12) and US 20 in Gary, Indiana, just southeast of Chicago. I-65 connects several major metropolitan areas in the Midwest and Southern US. It connects the four largest cities in Alabama: Mobile, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Huntsville. It also serves as one of the main north–south routes through Nashville, Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; and Indianapolis, Indiana, each a major metropolitan area in its respective state.
Gallatin County, is a county located in the northern part of the U.S. state of Kentucky. Its county seat is Warsaw. The county was founded in 1798 and named for Albert Gallatin, the Secretary of the Treasury under President Thomas Jefferson. Gallatin County is included in the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located along the Ohio River across from Indiana.
Warsaw is a home rule-class city in and the county seat of Gallatin County, Kentucky, United States, located along the Ohio River. The name was suggested by a riverboat captain, who was reading Thaddeus of Warsaw, by Jane Porter, when the city was being founded.
Sparta is a home rule-class city in Gallatin and Owen counties in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The population was 231 at the 2010 census.
U.S. Route 42 is an east–west United States highway that runs southwest–northeast for 350 miles (560 km) from Louisville, Kentucky to Cleveland, Ohio. The route has several names including Pearl Road from Cleveland to Medina in Northeast Ohio, Reading Road in Cincinnati, Cincinnati and Lebanon Pike in southwestern Ohio and Brownsboro Road in Louisville. Traveling northeast, the highway ends in downtown Cleveland and traveling southwest ends in Louisville.
U.S. Route 136 is an east-west U.S. highway that is a spur route of U.S. Route 36. It runs from Edison, Nebraska, at U.S. Route 6 and U.S. Route 34 to the Interstate 74/Interstate 465 interchange in Speedway, Indiana. This is a distance of 804 miles (1,294 km). Due to the removal of almost every numbered route in Indianapolis, US 136 never meets its parent, US 36; however, it does come within two miles of it at its interchange with I-465/I-74 at its eastern terminus.
Interstate 264 (I-264) is a partial loop around the city of Louisville, Kentucky, south of the Ohio River. An auxiliary route of I-64, it is signed as the Shawnee Expressway for its first eight miles (13 km) from its western terminus at I-64/US 150 to US 31W/US 60 and as the Watterson Expressway for the remainder of its length from US 31W/US 60 to its eastern terminus at I-71. It is 22.93 miles (36.90 km) in length and runs an open circle around central Louisville. It is the only auxiliary route of I-64 outside of Virginia.
Interstate 265 (I-265) is a 41.71-mile (67.13 km) Interstate Highway partially encircling the Louisville metropolitan area. Starting from I-65 in the southern part of Louisville, it runs through Jefferson County, Kentucky, crosses the Ohio River on the Lewis and Clark Bridge into Indiana, meets I-65 for a second time, and then proceeds westbound to terminate at the I-64 interchange.
Interstate 275 (I-275) is an 83.71-mile-long (134.72 km) highway in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky that forms a complete beltway around the Cincinnati metropolitan area and includes a part in a state (Indiana) not entered by the parent route. It had been the only auxiliary Interstate that enters three states, but that changed in July 2018 when I-295 in Delaware and New Jersey was extended into Pennsylvania. It is the longest beltway with an Interstate highway designation in the United States, enclosing an area of over 250,000 acres (100,000 ha). It is also the third longest beltway overall in the United States; only the Sam Houston Tollway and the Grand Parkway, both encircling Greater Houston, are longer. For a short distance in northwest Hamilton County, it overlaps with I-74 and US Route 52 (US 52). It is also concurrent with US 52 very briefly in southern Hamilton County as well.

U.S. Route 31E (US 31E) is the eastern parallel route for U.S. Highway 31 from Nashville, Tennessee, to Louisville, Kentucky.
Kentucky Route 1065 is a 13.856-mile-long (22.299 km) state highway located in Louisville, Kentucky. The western terminus of the route is at Kentucky Route 907 a short distance west of Kentucky Route 841 exit 6 in the Louisville neighborhood of Auburndale. The eastern terminus is at Kentucky Route 1819 in Fern Creek.
Interstate 64 (I-64) in the US state of Kentucky travels for 191 miles (307 km), passing by the major towns and cities of Louisville, Frankfort, Lexington, and Ashland. It has several major junctions with other Interstates, including I-65, I-71, I-264, and I-265 in Louisville and I-75 in Lexington.
Kentucky Route 329 is a state highway located 15 miles (24 km) northeast of downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The western terminus of the route is at U.S. Route 42 in Prospect. The eastern terminus is at KY 146 in Crestwood. An undivided, four lane bypass route of KY 329 exists in the vicinity of Crestwood.
U.S. Route 231 in Kentucky runs 114 miles (183 km) from the Tennessee state line near Adolphus to the William H. Natcher Bridge on the Ohio River near Rockport, Indiana. It crosses the state mainly in the west-central region, traversing Allen, Warren, Butler, Ohio, and Daviess Counties.
U.S. Route 127 (US 127) in Kentucky runs 207.7 miles (334.3 km) from the Tennessee state line in rural Clinton County to the Ohio state line in Cincinnati. The southern portion of the route is mostly rural, winding through various small towns along the way. It later runs through the state capital of Frankfort before continuing north, eventually passing through several Cincinnati suburbs in Northern Kentucky, joining US 42 near Warsaw and US 25 in Florence before crossing the Ohio River via the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge.

Kentucky Route 35 is a 12.833-mile-long state highway in Kentucky that runs from US 127 in Owen County south of Sparta and heads north and goes through Sparta and meets KY 467 before meeting Interstate 71. KY 35 then passes by the Kentucky Speedway and comes to an end at US 42 in Warsaw.
Kentucky Route 47 is a 9.851-mile state highway in Kentucky that runs from KY 36 and KY 467 in Sanders to US 42 in Ghent KY 47 mostly stays in Carroll County but makes a short entrance into Gallatin County while passing under Interstate 71.
Kentucky Route 455 (KY 455) is a 7.111-mile-long (11.444 km) state highway in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The highway connects Glencoe and Warsaw, within Gallatin County.
