The Khon Kaen International Marathon is held every late January in Khon Kaen, northeastern Thailand. It is organized by Khon Kaen University. [2]

Contents

It is attended by dozens of runners from Ethiopia and Kenya, as well as by top runners from Thailand, Laos, Taiwan, and other countries. [1] [3] A total of 40,000 runners attended the marathon events in 2018. [1] It has been organized for every consecutive year, and was founded in 2004. [4]

The Khon Kaen Light Rail Transit Project is a planned 22.6-kilometre (14.0 mi) light rail transit system consisting of an initial 16 stations to serve Khon Kaen Province in north-east Thailand. The Integrated Opisthorchiasis Control Program, commonly known as the "Lawa Project", located in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand, is an effort to reduce chronic infection by the Southeast Asian liver fluke among the native peoples of Isan, the northeast region of Thailand. The project operates under the aegis of the Tropical Disease Research Laboratory, Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University. It is directed by Banchob Sripa. Its aim is to eliminate the practice of consuming raw or undercooked fish, the major cause of liver fluke infection and bile duct cancer in the region. The project is unique in that it follows the principles of EcoHealth, a One Health approach to improving human and animal health. The project has been the subject of newspaper and TV reports by BBC, The New York Times, and The Guardian.

The 2019 Thai League 3 is the third season of the Thai League 3, the third-tier professional league for association football clubs in Thailand, since its establishment in 2017, also known as Omsin League Pro due to the sponsorship deal with Government Savings Bank. A total of 28 teams would divided into 2 regions including 14 teams in the upper region and 14 teams in the lower region.

The Buriram Marathon is held every February at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, northeastern Thailand. Its title sponsor is Chang Beer. The marathon events are regularly attended by elite runners from Thailand, Laos, Ethiopia, Kenya, and other countries.

The 2021–22 Thai FA Cup is the 28th season of a Thailand's knockout football competition. The tournament was sponsored by Chang, and known as the Chang FA Cup for sponsorship purposes. The tournament is organized by the Football Association of Thailand. 94 clubs were accepted into the tournament, and it began with the qualification round on 29 September 2021 and concluded with the final on 22 May 2022. The winner would have qualified for the 2023 AFC Champions League play-off and the 2022 Thailand Champions Cup.

Miss Grand Thailand 2022 is the ninth edition of the Miss Grand Thailand beauty contest, held on 30 April 2022 at Show DC Hall in Bangkok, Thailand. The coronation was initially scheduled in August 2021, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was rescheduled twice, first in late-2021, and later to 2022. At the end of the event, the appointed Miss Grand Thailand 2021, Indy Johnson of Pathum Thani, crowned her successor, Engfa Waraha of Bangkok, a former contestant on the 2018/2019 The Voice Thailand, making her the first representative of the capital city to win the title.
