Khyapar Gaan (Songs of the Loony) was the last album of the Bengali band Moheener Ghoraguli sompadito seriese. It was released in 1999 by Asha Audio. The song "Tai Janai Gaaney" is based on (both in terms of lyrics and tune) the Jim Croce song "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song".

Moheener Ghoraguli was an Indian rock group from Kolkata, established in 1975. Their music drew from wide variety of influences, including Bengali folk, Baul, urban American folk, and jazz. They sometimes described their style as "Baul jazz."

The movie is a tribute to Satyajit Ray's 1966 film Nayak and yesteryear Bengali actor Uttam Kumar, who portrayed the title role in the film. This was the First of the forthcoming Long Collaboration between Srijit Mukherjee & Prosenjit Chatterjee. The movie is being remade in Malayalam.

Notuner Gaan, more popularly known as Chol Chol Chol, is the national march of Bangladesh, whose lyrics and tune were written by national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in 1928. It was first published in the newspaper Shikha with the title Notuner Gaan and was later included in Nazrul's book Shondha. The Bangladeshi government adopted this song as the national marching song of Bangladesh on 13 January 1972 in its first meeting after the country's independence. The first lines of the song are played at most military ceremonies or functions. The Daily Star has referred to it as the national military song.

"We gaan naar Rome" is a Schlager song by Simon Tahamata an association football player, who played for AFC Ajax and the Netherlands national team at the time of release which was in 1979 on Dutch label GIP. The song is the A-side to the record "We gaan naar Rome / Hallo mensen, hier is Rome" which was released as a 7"-single. The song was released prospectively in regard to the UEFA Euro 1980, following the Netherlands qualification to the finals amongst the last 8 of the tournament. Ajax star Simon Tahamata recorded this record implying the Dutch would reach the final hosted at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. The Netherlands lost their first two matches to Greece and West Germany while beating Czechoslovakia in their last match, finishing third in their group and thus failing to advance past the group stage.

It was launched on 13 January 2013, and, at launch, was Bangladesh's second music oriented television channel after Channel 16, but after its closure, Gaan Bangla became the country's sole music channel. Md. Khurshid Alam is a Bangladeshi playback singer. His notable songs include Chumki Choleche Eka Pothe, Bondi Pakhir Moto, Maa Go Maa, Miss Lanka, Ajke Na Hoi Bhalobasho, Dheere Dheere Chol Ghora, Chupi Chupi Bolo Keu Jeney Jabe and Jodi Bou Shajo Go. "Shudhijon Shono" is a song by Bengali rock band Moheener Ghoraguli, featured on their 1978 debut album, Ajaana UDonto bostu ba Aw-Oo-Baw. Written by Ranjon Ghoshal, composed by Gautam Chattopadhyay, and sung by Tapesh Bandyopadhyay, Tapas Das and Ranjon. The lyrics is a call to the people of the city, while bass guitar carry the music. It was one of the band's initial songs such as "Haay, Bhalobasi" and "Bheshe Ashey Kolkata".
