Kim Collins is a former Kittitian track and field sprinter. In 2003, he became the World Champion in the 100 metres. He represented his country at the Summer Olympics on five occasions, from 1996 to 2016, and was the country's first athlete to reach an Olympic final. He competed at ten editions of the World Championships in Athletics, from 1995 to 2015, winning five medals. He was a twice runner-up in the 60 metres at the IAAF World Indoor Championships. At regional level, he was a gold medallist at the Commonwealth Games and a silver medallist at the Pan American Games. As of 2023, he is the only Individual World Championships Gold medallist from Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Giovanni "Nino" Benvenuti is an Italian former professional boxer and actor. He held world titles in two weight classes, having held the undisputed super-welterweight championship from June 1965 to June 1966 and the undisputed middleweight championship twice, from April to September 1967, and from March 1968 to November 1970. As an amateur welterweight boxer he won the Italian title in 1956–60, the European title in 1957 and 1959, and an Olympic gold medal in 1960, receiving the Val Barker trophy for boxing style. In 1961, having an amateur record of 120-0, he turned professional and won world titles in the light-middleweight division and twice in the middleweight division. Near the end of his boxing career he appeared in two Italian films, Sundance and the Kid (1969) and then in Mark Shoots First (1975).
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They are located in Jacksonville, Florida, and are named for shrimp caught in the area. The team plays their home games at 121 Financial Ballpark, which opened in 2003. They previously played at Sam W. Wolfson Baseball Park from 1962 until the end of the 2002 season.
Worapoj Petchkoom is a Thai boxer who competed in the bantamweight (54 kg) at the 2004 Summer Olympics and won the silver medal losing to Cuban superstar Guillermo Rigondeaux. He qualified for the Athens Games by ending up in first place in the 2nd AIBA Asian 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Karachi, Pakistan. In the final he defeated India's Diwakar Prasad.
Armen Mkrtchyan is an Armenian freestyle wrestler. He is an Olympic silver medalist, World Championships medalist, and European Champion. In addition, he was also awarded the Master of Sport of the USSR, International Class title in 1991 and the Honored Master of Sports of Armenia title in 1996.
Kim Jong-il, sometimes transliterated Kim Yong-il, is a South Korean retired long jumper, best known for winning two gold medals at the Asian Games. He also competed in the Olympics twice, and was the first Korean athlete to have made a final round at the Olympics. His personal best jump was 8.00 metres, achieved in August 1988 in Seoul. After retiring as an active athlete, he turned to a career in coaching and academics.

Kim Jung-Sub is an amateur South Korean Greco-Roman wrestler, who played for the men's light heavyweight category. Kim had won three medals for his division at the Asian Games. He also claimed two more gold medals at the 2005 Asian Wrestling Championships in Wuhan, China, and at the 2006 Asian Wrestling Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Kim is a member of the wrestling team for Samsung Life Sports Club, and is coached and trained by his brother Kim In-Sub, silver medalist in the 58 kg division at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
Kim Kyong-Jin is a North Korean judoka, who played for the extra-lightweight category. He won two medals, silver and bronze, for the 60 kg division at the Asian Judo Championships.
Kim Jung-won is a North Korean long-distance runner. He competed in the men's marathon at the 1996 Summer Olympics and the 2000 Summer Olympics. Kim is married to fellow marathoner Jong Song-ok since March 2001. The couple's first child, Hyo-il, was born in 2002. Jong stated that North Korean leader Kim Jong-il personally suggested the name.
Kim Jin-soo is a South Korean former amateur Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's middleweight category. Kim wrestled for the South Korean squad in two editions of the Summer Olympics and came closest to the medal haul in 2000. Outside the Olympic career, Kim collected a total of five medals in a major international tournament, including a gold at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan. Worked as a full-time employee for Korean Housing Company, Kim trained throughout his wrestling career for the company's sports club, under his personal coach Kim Chang-duk.
