Although Metro Transit is one of the smallest transit systems for a large metropolitan area in the United States, it has previously been ranked as one of the best. King County Metro, officially the King County Metro Transit Department and often shortened to Metro, is the public transit authority of King County, Washington, which includes the city of Seattle. It is the eighth-largest transit bus agency in the United States. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 66,022,200, or about 218,100 per weekday as of the fourth quarter of 2022. Metro employs 2,716 full-time and part-time operators and operates 1,540 buses.
Government Center station is an intermodal transit hub in the Government Center district of Downtown Miami, Florida. It is operated by Miami-Dade Transit and serves as a transfer station for the Metrorail and Metromover rapid transit systems and as a bus station for Metrobus, Paratransit, and Broward County Transit buses. The station is located near the intersection of Northwest First Street and First Avenue, a part of the Stephen P. Clark Government Center Building. It opened to service May 20, 1984, next to the site of a former FEC railway station which is now MiamiCentral.
Pittsburgh Regional Transit is the second-largest public transit agency in Pennsylvania and the 20th-largest in the United States. The Southern California Rapid Transit District was a public transportation agency established in 1964 to serve the Greater Los Angeles area. It was the successor to the original Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA). California State Senator Thomas M. Rees sponsored the bill that created the RTD, which was meant to correct some deficiencies of the LAMTA, and took over all of the bus service operated by MTA on November 5, 1964. RTD was merged into the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in 1993.

The 16th Street Mall is a pedestrian and transit mall in Denver, Colorado. The mall, 1.25 miles long, runs along 16th Street in downtown Denver, from Wewatta Street to the intersection of 16th Avenue and Broadway. The intricate granite stone sidewalks and streets were designed by architect I.M Pei to resemble the scale pattern of the western diamondback rattlesnake. Rosa Parks Transit Station is an intermodal transit station in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. It is operated by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) as a station for the Jacksonville Skyway elevated people mover. It previously served as Jacksonville's main city bus station before being replaced by the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center at LaVilla in May 2020. It is located on Hogan Street between State Street and Union Street, and is the Skyway's northern terminus. It is across the street from the Downtown campus of Florida State College at Jacksonville.
Paseo de San Antonio station is an at-grade light rail station on the Blue Line and the Green Line of the VTA light rail system. The station platforms run along the Downtown San Jose transit mall, with the northbound platform located alongside 1st Street and the southbound platform located alongside 2nd Street. The two platforms are connected by a pedestrian plaza, the Paseo de San Antonio, after which the station is named.
Alum Rock Transit Center is an at-grade intermodal transit center located at the intersection of South Capitol Avenue and Nuestra Castillo Court in the Alum Rock district of San Jose, California. The light rail station is located in the center median of South Capitol Avenue and is the current eastern terminus for the Orange Line of the VTA light rail system. VTA buses serve the transit center both on South Capitol Avenue and in a nearby bus plaza located adjacent to the light rail station.
GOVA, formerly known as Greater Sudbury Transit, is a public transport authority that is responsible for serving bus routes in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and area. The network is the largest in Northern Ontario, comprising 41 routes operating between the hours of 5:00am to 10:00pm for regular service and from 10:00pm to 2:00am for night service. Due to the increase in ridership the service has been approved for articulating buses primarily used for the largest routes and during rush-hour times. The annual ridership for the year of 2014 was recorded at 5 million passengers at an estimate of 16,000 daily.
Saskatoon Transit is the public transport arm of the City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It operates a fleet of diesel buses. A total of 23 bus routes serve every area of the city, carrying approximately 11 million passengers in 2008. Saskatoon Transit is a member of the Canadian Urban Transit Association. The major bus terminal is located Downtown.
Maple Grove Transit is a suburban public transit provider in the Minneapolis – Saint Paul metropolitan area of Minnesota serving the city of Maple Grove. The service currently operates 5 express routes from Maple Grove to Downtown Minneapolis in the morning and return from Minneapolis to Maple Grove in the afternoon. An additional express route runs between the municipality and the University of Minnesota. One feeder route with timed transfers also connects with the Downtown express routes. Local flex service is provided by the agency, as well.
