Kirodimal Government Arts and Science College, also known as Kirodimal Government Degree College, Raigarh is a coeducational degree college located in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, India. Established in 1958, [1] it is an Autonomous College under Bilaspur Vishwavidyalaya. [2]
The college was established in 1958 and was initially affiliated to Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University. In 1985, it became affiliated to Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya. Since 2012 it is affiliated to Bilaspur University.
The University Grants Commission of India is a statutory body set up by the Government of India in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 under Ministry of Education, and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education. It provides recognition to universities in India, and disbursements of funds to such recognized universities and colleges. The headquarters are in New Delhi, and it has six regional centres in Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bangalore.
