Kirsten Joke Hermine Gleis (born 22 May 1969) is a retired Dutch female volleyball player.
She played 241 matches with the Netherlands women's national volleyball team, including those at the 1992 Olympic Games, [1] [2] and the 1994 World Championships. [3] On club level she played with Martinus Amsterdam.
The Netherlands competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. 201 competitors, 117 men and 84 women, took part in 105 events in 20 sports.
Carina Marguerite Benninga is a former Dutch field hockey player, who played 158 international matches for The Netherlands hockey team, in which she scored 25 goals. She was part of the gold medal winning team at the 1984 Summer Olympics and also won a bronze medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Other highlights of her career include gold medals at the EuroHockey Nations Championship and Champions Trophy in 1987, as well as a gold at the 1983 Women's Hockey World Cup and the 1990 Women's Hockey World Cup. Next to her sports career, Carina Benninga studied law; in 1987 she got her Masters’degree.
Kimberley Yvette "Kim" Oden is a former volleyball player and two-time Olympian who played on the United States women's national volleyball team.

The Netherlands women's national volleyball team is the national volleyball team of the Netherlands. It is governed by the Nederlandse Volleybalbond (NeVoBo). Following the 1995 European Championship they hosted in Arnhem and finishing fifth at the 1996 Olympics, the Dutch have had moments of success amidst instability, such as the title of the 2007 FIVB World Grand Prix, and a return to the Olympic Games in 2016, where the Netherlands got to fourth place.
Ronald ("Ron") Ferdinand Zwerver is a volleyball coach and former volleyball player from the Netherlands who represented his native country in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1988 in Seoul. Zwerver was one of the dominant forces in Dutch volleyball in the 1990s. He was selected as the "best attacker" at both the 1990 and 1994 FIVB World Championships.
Ingrid Louise Visser was a Dutch female volleyball player, a member of the Netherlands women's national volleyball team in 1994–2011, a participant of the 1996 Olympic Games and 1995 European Champion.

Tara Cross-Battle is a retired volleyball player from the United States who competed in four Summer Olympics overall, starting in 1992. Cross-Battle won the bronze medal with the United States women's national team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Her last Olympic appearance was at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
Hilma Aparecida Caldeira is a Brazilian retired volleyball player who competed with the Brazil women's national volleyball team at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. She was named Best Server at the 1994 FIVB World Championship in Brazil, where she finished in seventh place. She won a bronze medal at the 1994 Goodwill Games in Saint Petersburg. Yoshihara played as a middle blocker.

Ana Beatriz Moser is a Brazilian former volleyball player and three-time Olympian who played as an outside hitter. She helped make the Brazilian women's national volleyball team a dominant force in the 1990s. From January to September 2023, she served as minister of Sport, and was the first woman to hold the office since its creation in 1995.
Maret Balkestein-Grothues is a Dutch volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter. She is a member of the Netherlands women's national volleyball team, and is the current team captain. On 6 May 2021 she signed for the Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos.
Gordana Jurcan is a retired Croatian female volleyball player. She was a member of the Croatia women's national volleyball team. Jurcan was part of the Croatian national team at the 1993 Mediterranean Games in Languedoc-Roussillon, at the 1995 European Championship in the Netherlands, at the 1995 World Cup in Japan, and at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. With ŽOK Rijeka she won two Croatian Leagues, in 1999 and 2000, and four Croatian Cups, in 1992, 1999, 2000 and 2001.
Raisa O'Farrill Bolaños , more commonly known as Raisa O'Farrill, was a Cuban female volleyball player and two-time Olympian. She helped the Cuban women's national volleyball team win gold medals at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
