Kirsten Peterman (born 22 February 1998) is a retired Canadian artistic gymnast. Currently Academic Advisor for Football at the Louisiana State University (LSU), Baton Rouge, LA.

Biography

She was born on 22 February 1998 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, to Tim Griffin and Karyn Peterman. [1] Peterman won the vault event at the 2013 International Gymnix and placed third next year at the 2014 International Gymnix. [2] A former member of the Canada women's national artistic gymnastics team, [3] [4] she won a silver medal with her national team at the 2016 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships in Everett, where she was the third best Canadian. [5] In March of the same year she was the 10th all-around gymnast at the International Gymnix. [5]

The 2014 International Gymnix competition was a competition held in Montreal, Canada in early March 2014. It was the 23rd edition of the International Gymnix. The nations that had placed in the top 16 places in the 2011 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were invited to the tournament, with Belgium, Italy, Romania and Russia joining it. The Junior International Cup was open to athletes born between 1999 and 2001. Russia won the team event. Kirsten Peterman placed third on vault after her 2013 win, while Angelina Melnikova won her first international medal, placing second on all-around in the Junior Cup.

She represented Canada at the 2016 Olympics where she was the youngest member of the Canadian Olympic team and at the 2020 Olympic Games. Maile O'Keefe is an American artistic gymnast. She was a member of the U.S. National Team and is the 2016 and 2017 U.S. Junior National Champion. She is the 2023 NCAA all-around champion as well as a 4x NCAA event champion.
