Kiyotaka Suzuki (Japanese: 鈴木清崇, Hepburn: Suzuki Kiyotaka, born 1979) is a Japanese anime director. He starting working in 2008 and directed his first series in 2014 with Psycho-Pass 2 . He later directed Infini-T Force and Babylon . He also is currently a board member at anime studio Revoroot. [1]

Biography

Kiyotaka Suzuki was born in Bunkyō, Tokyo, in 1979. [2] In elementary school, Suzuki was a fan of novel writers Jules Berne and Ranpo Edogawa. Once in middle school, Suzuki became more interested in crafting things. During this time, he also developed a passion for anime. So, he decided to become a director in order to do both at once. [2]

In 2020, Suzuki was nominated for best director at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. [3]

Land of the Lustrous is a 2017 anime television series based on Haruko Ichikawa's manga series of the same name. It is produced by the computer graphics (CG) animation studio Orange and directed and written by Takahiko Kyōgoku and Toshiya Ono, respectively. It follows the Lustrous – immortal humanoid life forms who are the embodiments of gemstones – who defend themselves against the Lunarians, who seek to harvest their bodies for decorations. Phosphophyllite is the youngest of the Lustrous, and is given the task to assemble a natural history since they are too brittle to fight.

<i>Isekai Quartet</i> Japanese anime series

Isekai Quartet is a Japanese anime series that serves as a chibi-style crossover between the light novel series KonoSuba, Overlord, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World and The Saga of Tanya the Evil, all published by Kadokawa Corporation. The series aired its first season from April to June 2019. A second season aired from January to March 2020, including additional characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero and Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious. An anime film set after the second season, titled Isekai Quartet: The Movie – Another World, was released in June 2022.

The 3rd Crunchyroll Anime Awards were held on February 16, 2019, honoring excellence in anime from 2018. Crunchyroll announced the details for the third edition of the awards on December 4, 2018. The list of judges as well as the categories to be presented were announced on December 17. Public voting was conducted from January 11 to 18. Winners were announced on February 16 via a livestream on Twitch. The show was hosted by voice actress Cristina Vee. Several prominent figures in the industry and community were invited to presented the awards, including Kevin Penkin, who previously won the 2018 award for Best Score.

Yuichiro Hayashi is a Japanese anime director and animator. After joining an animation school at the request of a friend, Hayashi began working in the anime industry with Inuyasha in 2001 and later got his first role as director in 2012. Some series he has directed include Garo: The Animation, Kakegurui, Dorohedoro, and Attack on Titan: The Final Season.
