Koliakode N. Krishnan Nair is an Indian politician and a lawyer. He represented Vamanapuram constituency in 6th,7th,8th,9th and 13th Kerala Legislative Assembly. [1]
He started political activities through student-youth movements. He worked with several farmers' organizations. Presently he is the member of the Senate of University of Kerala. He also serves as the member of governing committee of Pariyaram Co-operative Medical College. He was previously elected to Kerala legislature in 1980,1982,1987,1991 and 2011. He was elected to Kerala University Senate. He was a senate member for 16 years. He was also a Syndicate member for 6 years. He served as the President of State Agriculture Co-Operative Bank and State Co-Operative Bank. Now he is the Chairman of the State Co-Operative Union.
In 1995,Koliakode was expelled from CPI(M) as part of disciplinary proceedings,but he rejoined the party as a primary member after the Control Commission allowed his appeal. [2] In his autobiography,Pirappancode Murali accused Koliyakode,who is closely related to the CPM state leadership,of using that influence to avoid him from the candidature in Vamanapuram and when that failed,he tried to defeat him,but Krishnan Nair responded that the allegations leveled against him were false and baseless. He is the son of Neelakanta Pillai and Lekshmikutty Amma. He has 2 brothers and a sister. He was born on 27 March 1938 at Koliyakode. He is a lawyer by profession. He is married to B Tulasi and has two sons,Unnikrishnan and Radhakrishnan. Lekshmi Nair,a culinary chef from Kerala is his niece.

Padayatt Kesavapillai Vasudevan Nair,popularly known as PKV,was an Indian politician and lawyer who served as the 7th Chief Minister of Kerala from 1978 to 1979. He was a Member of the Lok Sabha from 1957 to 1971 and again from 2004 until his death in 2005. He became Chief Minister on 20 October 1978,following A. K. Antony's resignation as Chief Minister. However he resigned on 7 October 1979 owing to differences with other parties in the United Front. He served in the Kerala Legislative Assembly from 1977 to 1982. Nair was a senior member of the Communist Party of India.

M. Krishnan Nair was an Indian academic,orator,literary journalist and literary critic of Malayalam literature. He was known for his Sahitya Varaphalam,a weekly column he wrote first in Malayalanadu weekly,later in Kalakaumudi and finally in Samakalika Malayalam Vaarika,which introduced world literature to Malayalam readers. He also published several books,including Saundaryathinte Sannidhanathil,Adhunika Malayala Kavitha and Vayanakkara,Ningal Jeevichirikkunno?. M. Krishnan Nair was an Indian oncologist. He was the founding director of the Regional Cancer Centre,Thiruvananthapuram,a director of the S.U.T. Institute of Oncology,and Trivandrum Cancer Center(TCC),part of SUT Royal Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and a professor at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences &Research in Kochi. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award of the Padma Shri in 2001 for his contributions in the cancer care field.

Pala Narayanan Nair was an Indian poet and lyricist,best known for his work,Keralam Valarunnu,written in 1953,comprising eight volumes,which earned him the title of Mahakavi. He wrote more than 5,000 poems,which have been compiled in about 43 anthologies. Pirappancode Murali is a noted poet,lyricist,playwright,library activist and politician from Kerala,India. He represented Vamanapuram constituency in 10th (1996) and 11th (2001) Kerala Legislative Assemblies. He wrote lyrics for over fifty plays and wrote ten plays. He was one of the founders of theater troupe Sangha Chetana. He got many awards including Government of Kerala Award for Best Lyricist and Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Best Playwright.
