Konstantin Chernov (born 24 December 1967) is a Kazakhstani water polo player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 2000 Summer Olympics. [1]

A water polo tournament was held on the Seine on 11 and 12 August 1900 as part of the 1900 Summer Olympics. Eight teams from four countries, all European, entered the event, although only seven ended up playing. They were not three separate sports, because they all were governed by one federation — FINA. Water Polo discipline consisted of one event: men's team. The rest of teams played in Group B of the final round to determine places 7 through 12.

Hungary has been the most successful country in men's tournament, while the United States is the only team to win multiple times at the women's tournament since its introduction. Italy was the first to win both the men's and women's water polo tournaments.

The men's water polo tournament at the 1992 Summer Olympics was held from 1 to 10 August 1992, in Barcelona, Spain. Reigning world champion Yugoslavia had qualified for the tournament, but as it had formally dissolved in the interim, it did not participate.
