Konstantin Safronov

Konstantin Safronov (born 2 September 1987) is a Kazakhstani athlete specialising in the long jump. [1] He represented his country at two world championships, in 2009 and 2013, without qualifying for the final.

He has personal bests of 8.10 metres outdoors (Almaty 2013) and 7.93 metres indoors (Karaganda 2006).[ citation needed ]

He is the husband of Olga Safronova (née Bludova), a Kazakhstani sprinter.

The men's pole vault event at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union had an entry list of 19 competitors from 10 nations. The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The final was held on Wednesday July 30, 1980. The top twelve and ties and all those clearing 5.40 metres advanced to the final. The event was won by Władysław Kozakiewicz of Poland, the nation's second consecutive victory in the men's pole vault. His countryman Tadeusz Ślusarski, who had won the event four years earlier, became the fifth man to earn two medals in the event when he finished in a tie for silver. The other silver went to Konstantin Volkov and was the Soviet Union's first pole vault medal.

Olga Safronova, née Bludova (Блудова), is a Kazakhstani sprinter. She competed in the 100 m event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and advanced to the semifinals. At the 2016 Summer Olympics she was eliminated in the heats of the 100 m, 200 m and 4 × 100 m events. At the 2010 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, she won a bronze medal in the 60 m and a silver at the 4 × 400 m relay. Safronova won four medals at the Asian Games in 2014–2018, two individual and two in the 4 × 100 m relay.
