Kovoor Kunjumon is a member of 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly from RSP(L),representing Kunnathur constituency under Kollam district in Kerala. Kunjumon has won five times since 2001 from Kunnathur constituency. [2]
The Left Democratic Front (LDF) also known as Left Front (Kerala) is an alliance of left-wing political parties in the state of Kerala,India. It is the current ruling political alliance of Kerala,since 2016. It is one of the two major political alliances in Kerala,the other being Indian National Congress-led United Democratic Front,each of which has been in power alternately for the last four decades. LDF has won the elections to the State Legislature of Kerala in the years 1980,1987,1996,2006,2016 and had a historic re-election in 2021 where an incumbent government was re-elected for first time in 40 years. Kunnathur Padi is the historic center for the folk Hindu deity Sree Muthappan. The center stands in Payyavoor Grama Panchayat,Kannur District of the Kerala state of India,3,000 feet above sea level,on top of Udumbumala in the Sahyadri mountains. The region belonged to the kingdom of the Mannanar dynasty,the line of Muttappan. In 1902,Kunhikelapan Mannanar,the last king of this dynasty of Muthappan's clan,was killed and the British government seized the property of this dynasty,and Karakattidam Nayanar,a Nair landlord,got the right to manage Kunnathur Padi.

Thuruppugulan is a 2006 Indian Malayalam-language action comedy film directed by Johny Antony and written by the Udayakrishna/Siby K. Thomas duo. The film stars Mammootty in the title role,alongside an ensemble cast of Sneha,Innocent,Devan,Kalasala Babu,Suresh Krishna,Jagathy Sreekumar,Raj Kapoor,Vijayaraghavan,Salim Kumar,Harisree Ashokan,Cochin Haneefa,Baburaj and Janardanan in major supporting roles. K. T. Kunjumon is a former Indian film producer and writer,politician active in Tamil and Malayalam films. He began his career co-producing several Malayalam films,often working with director P. G. Viswambharan. His first Kollywood project,Pavithran's Suriyan as Sarathkumar's first solo lead role was a success. Kunjumon's second venture,S. Shankar's directorial debut Gentleman was a major success and set several records for Tamil film production. His subsequent films,Kaadhalan (1994) and Kadhal Desam (1996) were also successful,while Ratchagan (1997) became the most expensive Tamil film ever made on release.
