Production

The record was prepared during a three-day session at Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin, in five days recorded in Hamburg with Tobias Levin, then again in Berlin in eight days mixed analog on tape with Hannes Bieger, and mastered by Bo Kondren. [3] [4]

Cover artwork

The cover artwork is by Georgian artist Andro Wekua: for the vinyl version "Workshop Report" is printed glossy on the matt finished cover, with "Double Reality" on the inner sleeve. The cd is packed in a jewel case with the art works on two changeable cardboards.

Die Skeptiker is a German punk band founded in 1986 in East Berlin. The band is one of the most significant punk bands in East Germany, and belongs to the group of punk bands known as die anderen Bands, along with Sandow, Die Art, Feeling B, Tausend Tonnen Obst, and Die Firma. Although they performed songs critical of the Wall, they were able to gain an official license to perform live shows (Spielerlaubnis) by the East German state by writing intelligent lyrics with criticism between the lines. ABC is an album by electronica group Kreidler, released in 2014. It marks the 20th anniversary of the band.

Boaz M. Levin is a Berlin-based writer, curator and filmmaker. His curatorial work deals with histories of ecology and technology and the ways these have influenced visual culture. Since October 2023, he has served as Co-Head of Program and curator at C/O Berlin, together with Sophia Greiff. In 2022, Levin was co-curator of the 3rd Chennai Photo Biennale. In 2017, he was co-curator together with Florian Ebner, Kerstin Meinicke, Kathrin Schonegg, and Christin Müller of the 7th edition of the Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie, which takes place in Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg.
