Krishan Kumar (born 12 October 1997) is an Indian athlete. He competes in 800m event. He is named in the Indian athletics team for the 800m event for the 2022 Asian Games at Hangzhou, China. He qualified for the finals and clocked 1:48.50 to Haryana finish fifth. [1] He is a three-time National champion and a silver medallist at the Asian Championships. [2]
Krishna Kumar had a busy 2023. In June, he won the gold at the Indian Championships, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. [3] Then, in July, he went on to win a silver medal at the Asian Athletics Championships, at Supachalasai National Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand. [3] [4] Earlier in May, he won the gold at the 26th National Federation Cup Senior Athletics Championships, Birsa Munda Foot Ball Stadium, Morabadi, Ranchi. [3]
Before the Asian Games, in August, he took part in the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary and finished 7th in his event 800m run. [5] At Asian Games, he finished fifth in the 800m event finals where his Indian teammate Mohammed Afsal Pulikkalakath won the silver medal. [1]
In September 2021, representing Army, he broke the 800m meet record of Jinson Johnson at the 70th Services Athletics Championships at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. [6]
India first participated in the 1968 Summer Paralympics. The nation has appeared in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since 1984. The Paris 2024 Games marked India's 13th appearance at the Paralympics. The country has never participated in the Winter Paralympic Games.

Seaman Muhammed Anas Yahiya is an Indian sprinter who specialises in the 400 metres distance. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 400 metres and the 4 × 400 m relay, and holds the national record (45.24) in the 400 meters, which he set at the 2019 Czech Athletics Championships. And finally he won a gold medal at the men's 4×400 metres relay event at the 2022 Asian Games.
Naib Subedar Jinson Johnson is an Indian middle-distance runner and an Indian Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) who specialises in the 800 and 1500 metres event. He participated in the 800 metres event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2018 Commonwealth Games he finished fifth setting a new national record in the 1500 metres race by breaking 23 year old record of Bahadur Prasad. Later in 2018, he went on to win the gold medal in the men's 1500m at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia with a timing of 3:44.72 in the final event, as well as a silver medal in 800 metres.
Jayanti Behera is a track & field paralympic athlete who represents India in the Women's 200m, 400m, and 800m event. She is a world youth champion in the TR 400m event and she has also won the gold medal at the recent National Para Athletics Championships 2018 in Panchkula. She is supported by the GoSports Foundation through the Para Champions Programme.
Murali Sreeshankar is an Indian athlete who competes in the long jump event. He created a national record of 8.36 metres set in 2022.

Vithya Ramraj is an Indian athlete from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She is a three-time National champion. She competes in 100m and 400m hurdles and 400 metres. On 2 October 2023 at the 2022 Asian Games, she equalled the Indian national record of 55.42s in 400m hurdles set by P. T. Usha at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. She won the 400m hurdles bronze at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China on October 3.
Harmilan Bains is an Indian track athlete. She is a double silver medalist in the 800m and 1500m events at the Asian Games. She is a gold medalist at the Asian Indoor Championships. Bains was the national record holder in the 1500m event before K. M. Deeksha broke it.
Nandini Agasara is an Indian athlete. She was named as part of the Indian athletics squad for the 2022 Asian Games. She won the bronze medal in the Heptathlon event of the 2022 Asian Games at Hangzhou, China.

Yashas Palaksha is an Indian athlete. He competes in 400m hurdles event. He is named in the Indian athletics team for the 400m hurdles event for the 2022 Asian Games at Hangzhou, China. Two Indian qualified for the finals, Yashas Palaksha and Santhosh Kumar and they finished fifth and sixth respectively. In the heats, Palaksha clocked 49.61s to take second place.
