Kristian Thorstvedt (born 13 March 1999) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serie B club Sassuolo and the Norway national team.
On 1 February 2018, Thorstvedt signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with Viking. [4] He was awarded young player of the season in the 2018 1. divisjon. [5]
On 3 January 2020, he signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Genk. [6]
On 4 March 2021, Thorstvedt netted a brace in Genk's 4–1 defeat of Mechelen in the quarter-final stage of the Belgian Cup. [7] Genk would eventually go on to beat Standard Liège in the final to win the domestic cup for the fifth time in club history. [8] On 20 May 2021, Thorstvedt scored a hat-trick in a 4–0 league win over Royal Antwerp. [9] On 28 April 2022, Genk announced that they had extended Thorstvedt's contract, keeping him with the club through the end of the 2024-25 season. [10]
On 12 July 2022, Sassuolo announced the signing of Thorsrvedt from Genk, on a five-year contract. [11]
Kristian Thorstvedt is the son of former goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt. [12]

Erik Thorstvedt is a Norwegian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He won 97 caps for the Norway national team, and was the starter in goal at the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He played for Viking, Eik-Tønsberg, Borussia Mönchengladbach, IFK Göteborg and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 2021 Belgian Cup final, named Croky Cup after the sponsor, was the 66th Belgian Cup final. On 13 March 2021, Standard Liège qualified for their 18th final, losing 9 and winning 8. Genk qualified one day later, reaching their sixth final, winning all but one, namely their latest appearance when they lost the 2018 Belgian Cup Final to Standard Liège. It took place on 25 April 2021 and was won by Genk.
The 2021–22 Belgian Pro League was the 119th season of top-flight football in Belgium. Club Brugge completed their first league Championship hat-trick since the 1970s by edging out long-time leaders Union Saint-Gilloise, who had led for 200 days until losing twice to Club in the title play-offs. Had Union achieved their unlikely success, they would have been the first newly promoted side to win the Belgian League, and the first to claim a top-20 ranked European league since FC Kaiserslautern's 1997–98 Bundesliga triumph in Germany.
