Kristian Uldbjerg Hansen (born 15 August 1996) is a Danish middle distance runner. He is the national indoor record holder over 1500 metres. [1]

Career

Born in Aalborg, and a member of Aalborg Athletics, he was raised a kilometre away from Skovdalen Atletikstadion. [2] He won two gold medals at the Danish Athletics Championships in August 2020, winning both the 1500 meters and the 800 meters. [3] He was selected for the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships in the men's 1500 metres. [4]

He represented Denmark in the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships in Silesia. [5] He ran at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in the men's 1500 metres, and ran a personal best time of 3:37.27. [6]

In February 2024, he ran 3:38.54 for the 1500 meters in Metz and broke the Danish indoor record for the distance, set by Mogens Guldberg in 1991. [7] He competed over 1500 metres at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow, however an injury suffered in May in Germany ruled him out for the rest of the season and meant he missed the Olympic Games. [8]

In January 2025, he won the 1500m at the Astana Indoor Meeting, part of the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Tour, running an event record 3:39.03. [9] [10]

Centrowitz is a five-time national champion in the 1500 m at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

She is a two-time European 1500 m champion from 2018 and 2022 as well as the 2022 Commonwealth Games 1500 m champion and 800 metres bronze medallist. Muir is twice the Diamond League champion over 1500 metres, in 2016 and 2018.

Filip Mangen Ingebrigtsen is a Norwegian middle-distance runner who represents Sandnes Idrettslag. In 2016, Ingebrigtsen became European Champion at 1500 meters during the European Championships in Amsterdam, and took bronze over the same distance at the World Championships in 2017 in London. He previously held the Norwegian 1500m record with the time 3:30.01, set at a Diamond League meet in Monaco on 20 July 2018. At the 2019 London Diamond League Ingebrigtsen finished second to Samuel Tefera in the mile. With a time of 3:49.60 Ingebrigtsen ran a national record and new personal best.
