2024 Astana Indoor Meeting |
Astana Indoor Meeting is an annual indoor track and field competition which takes place in late January at the Qazaqstan Indoor Track and Field Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan. The meeting is currently an World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold Level Meeting for 2024. [2]
The meeting was established in 2023, when it was a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver Level meeting. The inaugural edition featured sprinter Michael Rodgers and World Athletics Indoor Championships 1500 m medalist Hirut Meshesha. [3]
The 2024 edition of the meeting occurred on 27 January, becoming the first 2024 World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold level meeting. [2]

The 3000 metres or 3000-metre run is a track running event, also commonly known as the "3K" or "3K run", where 7.5 laps are run around an outdoor 400 m track, or 15 laps around a 200 m indoor track.
The World Athletics Indoor Tour, formerly the IAAF World Indoor Tour, is an annual series of indoor track and field meetings, held since 2016. It was designed to create a Diamond League-style circuit for indoor track and field events, to raise the profile of indoor track and field, and replaced the IAAF Indoor Permit Meetings series.
Copernicus Cup is an annual indoor track and field competition which takes place in February at the multi-purpose sports and entertainment Arena Toruń in Toruń, Poland. The meeting is currently an IAAF World Indoor Tour Meeting. In 2019, the competition's title sponsor was PKN Orlen.
The Czech Indoor Gala is an annual indoor track and field competition which takes place in January or February at the Ostravar Aréna in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The meeting was first held in 2009 in Prague before it moved after unsteady intervals to Jablonec nad Nisou in 2016 and Ostrava in 2017. It was a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting, but in the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Tour it was upgraded to Gold status.
The 2024 Astana Indoor Meeting, officially the Astana Indoor Meet for Amin Tuyakov Prizes, was the 2nd edition of the annual indoor track and field meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan. Held on 27 January, it was the first leg of the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold – the highest-level international indoor track and field circuit.
